India's Worst Fears and Our Military Options For Sir Creek,Kutch and Kathiawar Regions of Gujrat

If we had gone towards Lahore, we would have got caught is an intense urban warfare situation even if we had succeeded.
You could't cross the BRBL - Lahore was a goner on the 6th.

That's understandable. Too bad.

We will ensure that the tables are turned and you become unhappy instead.

It's well within your rights to dream, to wish or to fantasize.

Without the "how" though, they will remain as such.

1000 cuts is already bleeding you to death.

You trying to put a brave face doesn't fool us.

How long will it take to bleed to death

The objective was to relieve pressure up north and that was successful.
Yeah that's why a Corps Offensive was launched and there were several attempts to seize the bridges over the Canal.

If we did not, wouldn't the pressure have been relieved.

Your leaders already did it, now its our choice and our offence . You are only on the receiving end of missiles and artillery.

Its time for new Pakistani territory inside old india for new Pakistanis.

By all means, go for another 1000 if it instills a sense of accomplishment for you.

Obviously the pressure was relieved. The original plan was that both I Corps and XI Corps were to be launched on the same date to enhance the shock effect on Pak defences. However once the main goal couldn't be achieved the IA was content in securing the East bank of the canal. BTW no major reinforcements were sent from Pak reserves (not much as such) to counter the XI Corps offensive - it was dealt with by the already present two divisions.

He gave a general idea, at some places it can differ but not by much.
So we are at much disadvantage. Would our response to them will be lesser than?

"The whole situation changed on 6th September once India attacked all along the international border opposite Sialkot, Lahore and Kasur. The 7th Division was ordered to transfer 11 Cavalry, HQ 4 Corps Artillery Brigade and 39 Field Regiment to 1 Corps in Ravi-Chenab Corridor.76 Grand Slam was over!"

In mountains, its atleast 6:1. A mountain strong point requires more.

In Kargil, in reality, even these ratios were found inadequate. Gen V P Malik, as a policy, ordered for atleast 16:1 for an attack on a mountain top. He mentions it in his book as well.

Its a hell of task to attack uphill.

XI Corps offensive was in Ravi-Sutlej Corridor, mate :)
