India's UNSC Dream

^ Then buddy you don't understand the point of UNSC and India's Foreign Policy especially considering its non-alignment and its benefits.

Keep poverty, international politics, etc, in different perspective.

It is indeed in a different perspective. But I am talking about priorities. UNSC seat can be put on the backburner.

But the more pressing question is, what has been India's leadership role in world politics? Except for sending peace keeping forces? None. Consider this like a promotion to management. India is a good team player, but not yet a leader. Its not that we cant, its just that we need policy changes with a global outlook. But most of the time our govt is obsessed with trying to complete their term without being toppled

now its tottaly rubbish , 1 veto and a country in africas future can be shaped on 5 countries , f that thing , they just vote according to their interests , no country should take it seriously and say reform or f off i dont take you seriously , if most countries with some balls did that .........

G4 countries don't wish for veto power for permanent UNSC membership.

The so called insurgent groups/terrorists in India managed to cause only 125 casualties to India's security forces but BLA and TTP soldiers in your country caused 605 casualties in Pakistan's security forces.

Except Pakistan does not have illusions of grandeur like your compatriots do so the comparison is irrelevant.

G4 countries don't wish for veto power for permanent UNSC membership.

so then its still going to be the same system and the others just like statues push there hands up and nothing ? they should do some proper fair system representing most groups , continents etc

We'll try and try until we succeed. And my signature is perfect for this issue.

:D

You guys can keep trying but you will not succeed, you guys are not even the dominant power in Asia economically (China) or militarily (Russia then China). Only Indians overestimate their important on the world stage every other country just pays lip service knowing full well that India will never get a permanent seat as someone (China) will vote it down. Seriously though would any of the big 5 seat holders be willing to share veto powers with yet another country with the possibility of even 2 or even 3 more additions on top of that. The answer is no simple as that.

Just take out the veto system and make it a majority vote.

Whereas a Pakistan can't even daydream about UNSC permanent membership.
It will be broadcasted on the very next day on Ripley's believe it or not!!:lol:

Hey insecure Bharti stop bringing up Pakistan everywhere they do not even want a permanent seat unlike you delusional Indians.

Just take out the veto system and make it a majority vote.

Which of the big 5 would sign off on that??

Just take out the veto system and make it a majority vote.

yes thats good but that wont realy work because its only 5 countries thats too little so it wil have to be like 3-2 vote or 4-1 which wont happen , if its 10-15 countries you can do that properly

Its india who is seeking UNSC permanent membership not pakistan............

But its Pakistan who is leading the movement to stop India getting permanent UNSC membership.:lol:

Aye Aye sir. As you say. We are backing up and changing our Foreign policy on your expert analysis. Sorry buddy, you can't change the well thought strategy which requires years and years of constant efforts to get something you need to have.

Try to be practical and not trying means loosing chance is 100%. So its always better to try harder and harder and when time is ripe and International political environment is in our favor, may be we get it. Point is, you just can't stop decades long policies. Thee maneuvers are thought for carrying out for decades not for some years.

BTW China has supported India's claim but it doesn't want India to approach with Japan as it doesn't want Japan in UNSC.

This is what your all weather friend China said.

China warms up to India's claim for UN Security Council seat

The highlighted part is indeed relevant to the topic at hand.

Those P5 won't give up this privilege of veto power.

^When PRC got it's set in UNSC in 70's it was worse than even Sudan,Somalia.
Coz thats PRC....UNSC is for those who demonstrate jiski laathi uski bhains(he who wields the stick gets to keep the buffalo).China demonstrated it by 1970 hence its UNSC member.UNSC is not something that you get by begging that you have to snatch it.
