Featured India’s Test of Hypersonic missile and implications for Pakistan

It's a demonstrator not the real final stuff so all should hold their tiddies. Besides the fact the Pakistan holds no geographical strategic depth and India has enough vehicles to cover the whole of Pakistan. Not everything India does is for or against Pakistan.

If China feels Pakistan needs hypersonic technology to maintain the balance of power, Pakistan will get hypersonic technology.

How much long we will remain dependent on others?...and now we are talking of our defence...means even for our protection, we need others...shame.

Besides on "if China feels".... you know what China feels....With idea/concept of OBOR falling apart with other countries, China now have very high stakes in Pakistan (CPEC).... it will soon base it's military in your Airbase, Naval bases and cantonments.....You you will not need technology as they will be based in Pakistan to protect their assets..and so protection will come automatically.

We? You’re an indian. Stop hiding as a Pakistani.

This week India tested its first hypersonic missile. Traveling at extreme speeds with unpredictable flight patterns, hypersonic missiles have the potential to destabilize the strategic balance in South Asia, in ways not seen since India’s test of the nuclear bomb in 1972. Recent discussions on India has centered around New Delhi’s acquisition of the Rafale aircrafts. But these Rafale aircrafts don’t substantially alter the balance between the two air forces. The hypersonic missile tested by India has far-reaching implications for Pakistan.

“Pakistan is not known to have an indigenous hypersonic development program. Moreover, if China, Russia, and the United States reach an agreement on the issue, then there are more chances of avoiding a possible regional hypersonic rivalry in South Asia by making India part of the agreement.”

Will be useful for Pak to circumvent Indian S400 once deployed.

India definitely needs hypersonic missiles to deter PLA/PLAN

There was a recent pic displayed that suggested that Pakistan already has a program like this

Hypersonic are definitely more useful against naval targets than land targets. For land warfare, conventional artillery and cruise missiles is more than enough to do the job.

Who knew Pakistan had submarine-launched cruise missile program? Who knew Pakistan's very own MIRV program was under development?

Bottom line is you cannot predict what is being worked on and what level of maturity they have on various technologies.

.
the only counter measure is the capability to get its own hypersonic missile.
the easiest and quickest hypersonic missle would be blasstic missle moutned one, pakistan should first focus on building that..

this should be followed by ram engine research to build a true hypersonic missle

The best missile shall be which can overcome Indian defenses in near future whether subsonic, super sonic or hyper sonic.

I think within 10-15 years we will attain similar capability. That’s the trend.

Smiling Buddha 1974 -> 1984 Pakistan conducted cold test gaining parity

1988 Prithvi Missile -> 1997-1999 Ghauri and Shaheen

2004 BrahMos missile -> 2018 confirmation of Supersonic missile development in MODP

Not comparable. India deploys supersonic cruise missiles in a number of roles. Land launched, air launched and ship launched. Pakistan only has a low range air launched anti ship missile.
