India's Tejas Fighter Tests Mid-Air Refueling For The First Time

There seems to be a thread running for every time tejash achieves successful engine start

Really? So that's what you'll complain about?

Have you seen the JF-17 subfora?
Forget milestones for FOC, yaar tum log toh JFT ek nayee photo ke upar thread shuru kar dete ho.

We Are laughing at you from last 3 decades and still TEJA Bahi is no where....:omghaha::omghaha:

No where????????

Maybe you should be upto date with your current events.
Tejas was inducted into the IAF back in 2016 and there are 9 Tejas in service as of now.

you talking about 100+ fighters?. LCA is way behind in the race.

What has numbers got to do with being outdated or no?
There are more MiG-21s in the world than F22s, by your logic the MiG-21 should be better than the F-22 just on the account of its large numbers.

And In that process nearly 40 years passed and you became obsolete.

Then your own people kill you. After a few years everyone realizes that it was all scam like the sexual pervert who is being quoted here.

LCA=Lamba Chutiya Aircraft
Getting FOC in few months since 2014,2015,2016,2017,2018,????
N the fact being this FOC is for MK1,which IAF dont really want.
N ppl here r dreaming abt mk1a,mk2,twin engine n what not

FOC time frame doesn't matter now .
LCA is now officially part of IAF and for every few month, a new LCA would join the IAF fleet with added features laid down for FOC , till 42 LCAs pieces which IAF has agreed to buy from HAL .

Rigth now Iaf is getting IOC lca,,,which is basically for training,,,the later batch of 20 FOC lca r still in developement,,,n that FOC tejas(mk1) even though ordered,is not what Iaf exactly wants,,,iaf has agreed for additional mk1a

Only advantage that jf has over Tejas is numbers... And for that we have plenty of other jets
This is not the only advantage and you know the benefit of home grown product when you have it. The world is open for JF17 and we can change it with everything inside it anytime from anywhere. 100+ is not joke and it is very good number and if we add 20m for each we will get best Aesa and complete electronic package of top notch and result is a beast. We have lots of options to get this done. So 2000m for 100 plane is peanut for us.

This is the best you can do by compare 2nd gen with 4th gen. I see your knowledge on subject. Please don't tag me again and waste my time to read your nonsense and non logical statements

HAL Chief Flies LCA-Tejas
Bengaluru, August 08, 2018: Mr T. Suvarna Raju, CMD, HAL flew the indigenous Light Combat Aircraft-Tejas from HAL Airport here today. The twin seat variant of LCA (PV5) was piloted by Group Captain KK Venugopal, VM (Retd) HAL’s Chief Test Pilot.

In a thrilling set of manoeuvres, the aircraft climbed to 30,000 feet and accelerated to supersonic speed of 1.1 Mach. This was followed by a simulated launch of Beyond Visual Range missile on a target of opportunity, said Mr Raju after the sortie. It is a wonderful flying machine, capable of being the backbone of IAF combat power in the years to come, he adds.

The pilot demonstrated the prowess of the aircraft to attack targets on ground. An attack on the ground target was carried out by a simulated laser guided bomb. The demonstration of manoeuvring capability of the aircraft in close combat situations is an unique experience to even veteran pilots. The landing was carried out simulating low visibility conditions using the ‘automatic approach’ mode of the aircraft.

In order to ensure the speedy deliveries of LCAs, HAL has ramped up the production rate to meet the requirement of IAF in association with other industrial partners. HAL is in talks with IAF for production of 83 more LCAs with upgraded capabilities known as Tejas Mk 1A.

Mr Raju reiterated that as one of the biggest aircraft production houses in Asia, HAL is committed to constantly improve its products to meet the national security requirements.

JF 17 is as homegrown as Su 30 MKI.and we have made 200+ so far..

India is ripe and ready for homemade programs. What is needed is cultural and not necessarily skillset change or assistance.
