That is prediction made by Indians in 2021. Dont talk about present, as many Indian economist working in gov and IMF has to swallow hard pill after Oct-Desember 2021 GDP real growth data been released. They keep making revision since second semester 2021, the last one is in April 2022.

See their revision on India compared to other developing nations. it is clear the revision is large bigger, showing too optimistic projection on India

I can show this type of videos of Indonesia too. How is that related to economy? India is also Invited to G7. Modi was in Germany, France, Denmark last week. EU president, UK PM visited India recently. We have recently signed FTA with UAE, Australia and Canada, UK, EU and GCC are in pipeline. Indonesia has no place in Geopolitics, even less important than Pakistan.

I found an interesting thread about a man who went back to his Village in Backward Bihar and reported on the Changes he saw in his village.

I will provide the link below. I have copy pasted from his tweet.

1. This thread is for Bedwaliya Village, Post Garkha, District Chappra (Saran), Bihar

2. The most important difference I noticed is the availability of electricity. In 2017 we used to get about 4-5 hours every day, now it is 20-22 hours everyday. (electricity came to my village for first time in 2013) 2/11

3. Next, the village roads.. they were in very bad shape in 2017, they were in top notch condition. Earlier tweet was about road connecting villages, now the roads within villages, the work is going on to create cemented roads within the village, earlier it was dirt road.

4. Next up water, so the "jal nal" is real and for once my village got it soon enough. Water is supplied twice a day without fail.

And the water is supplied via pump and tank combination

5. Another improvement is cemented canal, which was earlier just kaccha

6. Another 4 lane bypass to chappra which was under construction in 2017 is fully functional.
Only issue with roads, wherever we had small puliya for waters to bypass they were incomplete, I did not see a single properly done puliya.

7. One interesting difference I noticed, the proper temple walls being created where they were none, case in point this brahm sthan.. which in 2017 was open space, in 2022 I saw it surrounded by walls.

Also, Peepal trees are considered very important, they are either around temples or they are treated as brahm sthan

8. Gas stove is more or less default in homes now... also my village now has bharat gas agency, earlier getting filled gas cylinder was a big tasks ( it still is for users of indane cylinder).

9. BhartNet scheme by govt of India has stated they have provided broadband infra for internet connectivity to apprpx. 1.7 Lakhs villages against target of 2.7 Lakhs

Goa may become India's first state to have 100% AC Electric buses. 150 buses were previously ordered from Olectra under FAME. Kadamba have sent proposal to Govt of India to procure 500 AC Electric Buses under FAME II. Kadamba currently has 350 diesel buses in their fleet.

Goa Govt to Procure 500 Electric Buses For State's Transport Fleet​

Aiming to use green technology to help tourists travel around Goa, the state government has sent a proposal to the central government to procure 500 electric buses to improve the bus transport network in coastal state. The move comes in the wake of facilitating travel of tourist and people of the state.

Goa Chief Minister Pramod Sawant had recently said that to promote Monsoon tourism, hinterland tourism and explore wildlife sanctuaries of the state, paid public transport on weekends will be started.

Goa government’s Kadamba Transport Corporation Limited (KTCL) chairman and Navelim MLA Ulhas Tuenkar, told IANS, that the buses will be procured under FAME India (Faster Adoption and Manufacturing of Hybrid and Electric Vehicles in India) scheme.

“Theses buses will be maintained by a private company and it will also provide us with a driver. We have to only recruit conductors on these buses. We will pay Rs 76 per kilometer to this company for the services they offer us." Tuenkar said.

Presently, KTCL has a fleet of 50 electric (air conditioned) buses and more 100 will be added into it after they are delivered towards the second order. “Our third proposal is for 500 e-buses. Once these buses are delivered to us, we will be able to expand our transport route, " Tuenkar said.

“There is a request from the medical fraternity to start a bus service for them, which would take them to their workplace and bring them back home. Similarly schools also have asked for our service. Besides, many MLAs have asked to start the KTCL service in remote areas of the constituency they represent. We are working on these aspects," MLA Tuenkar said.

He said that KTCL presently has 350 odd diesel buses, hence new procurement (of e-buses) will help to widen the scope of services and routes. “we have not procured new diesel buses since the last eight years and there will be no need in the future as we have the option of e-buses now." He said.

Tuenkar said that apart from giving services to the people of the state, KTCL is also trying to give good facilities to tourists visiting here. This will help to promote tourism.

Kerala is already a pretty good state in social standard. If there is an area for criticism there, it is that they are very dependent on remittance. Initially, I thought that their remittance dependency was just over blown. But turns out that it is real and could lead to a problem for the state down the road.

Real growth is measured in PPP, not Nominal.

..currency can fluctuate. I agree that there is a general downward trend for INR, but precipitous drops get corrected. So your statement has an assumption that 77.5 will be rate when calculating next years nominal GDP figure

UNCTAD itself says in its reports (as do other financial orgs) that Indian economy contracted a minimum of 7% last fiscal. How can it gain over 5% positive this fiscal? Even my five year old nephew knows the difference....
