My response was only to highlight the nonchanlance of the post that I responded to. While I anyway know that the Aussies have a way of doing their own thing and in the end it is generally right so nothing to worry there but anyway, regretful that i said that. I am going to drink a couple of extra Toohey's tomorrow and help the economy.
peace my friend, just to clarify.. I condemned the attacks on indian students and the continuous racism they have to face.. personally know someone who had to leave eventually and lost a lot of money he paid to the univernisty.
on topic
I just want to clarify that although Australia might seem an odd country to get COIN training, but they are always involved in all major conflicts and send their troops in support of their European and American "cousins"
be int Veitnam, Gulf war or Afghanistan.. and they have far more close and comprehensive training among themselves.
just wanted to highlight that... in any future conflict involing America and (eventually UK) and rest of Europe, you can count on Austrialia to send its troops..
so the combat knowledge in urban warfare and COIN is very fresh and current and dates back up to even Vietnam.
take care and enjoy your drink
