Prejudices don't disappear and the likes of Trump and Modi reinforce prejudices but States are bigger than individuals and if laws exist to give equal rights - in the long run, society becomes more liberal and accommodating. Clearly you don't understand democracy. If Jinnah would have stitched a coalition and won the general election, he would have been PM as early as 1952. Or he could have opted for a joint transition Government which he could have headed in 1947. No harm if an Indian becomes PM, irrespective of religion.

Where is the democracy in India? I can't actually find it. What happens in India is blackmailing. I read about reservations. So People's attitude is if government does not increase the reservation to them they will not vote. And in the end government has to take steps. This is not democracy sir.
