Featured Indians are at it again - 40% of Pakistan's frontline fighter jets docked for a variety of reasons

. . .
Lots of fake news in Indian media which Indians believe and results in the ensuing bragging...

Like: Read many time the fake news...

- 40% of NASA engineers are Indians.

-38% of Microsoft IT staff is Indian origin.

-Google has about 40% Indian IT and engineers....

- Mumbai GDP is higher than Pakistan.

Hundreds of such lies and they keep on quoting these lies on social media platforms. This will also be quoted like 40% of PAF is grounded.

please add: 99% world rapists... indian

I think the 40% of thunders have issues COMES from assumptions and experience of Russian engines on indians MIG29 & SU30MKI .

Since the JF17 use a russian engines the service life & mainteance of thunders could effected relative to your experience of FLYING F16 with USA engines

You do need to ask WHY india Chose a USA engne GE 404 in for Tejas at double the cost of $5million when russian RD93 cast less than $2 million for simliar TWR and no threat of sanctions

Interesting indian second option for Tejas was French engine

So before it was cracks in the frame and now the assumption is from engines can't you people first make up your mind for once.

I think PAF is more than capable of servicing and maintaining RD-93 engines. Its not PAFs fault that the seat ejecting IAF can't bloody maintain any of its aircraft. I am sure your french aircraft will face similar issue like your migs and sukhois. Its just that incompetence run rampart in your armed forces and the only thing IAF teaches its pilots is how to eject safely ... you people have a record there.

And one last thing ... we don't care what you did or didn't do for Tejas. That aircraft which barely has been inducted since its first flight around 2 decades ago is not worth a discussion at least not in this forum. I am sure PAF will take into account in its war scenarios once it gets inducted in some numbers but I am sure they also don't give a bloody shit if it has an American engine or a Martian one all they would like to know if it has an Indian pilot.

The current RD-93 apparently has much better reliability than the older versions, you will find on your Mig-29s and also much better than older AL-31s. Stated MTBO and MTBF are an order of magnitude higher though still lagging western levels. Sure we would have preferred a GE class engine, but PAF seems happy with its performance and reliability. The disparity may not be as bad as some might anticipate given the usual perception of Russian engines, but certainly nothing close what is claimed is true, 40%!? And that too during peace time?

Also, the engines on the aircraft the JF-17 has been replacing have even lower mtbo, we overhauled them very frequently and managed to keep up respectable serviceability figures. New JFs with new and improved RD-93s probably require far less.

PAF has decided to place an order of 36 tejas to HAL. This would be a stop gap measure before we induct 7th generation birds..
what nonsense tejas is a 9 th gen fighter pakistan cannot afford the tejas as it is bery bery expensive common man 9th gen supapowa fighter for pakistan no way plus the tejas is fitted with microwave weapon elite machine and electronic warfare EMP pods so once a tejas is within 100 km of the Junk Fighter 17 and Loser falcon f-16 than these little tiny fighters will be killed on the ground melting all the electronics.

Only our stored A-5 and F-6 can save us from the mighty Amraam dodgers.

This report seems authentic ..even though ..I do not blindly trust Indian media.

But the amount of details and specifics mentioned in this report about Jf 17's structural components and failures .. is beyond the capability of a journalist ..to just make up.

Least of all Pakistani media .. should follow up. if Indian media can get their hands on PAF's internal report. I am sure Pakistani media can too..that is if they want to try.

There are problems with the fuselage, with cracks being detected in the lower fairing skin. This is an area that is most affected by G or gravity-related pressures.

Latest reports from the government sources show that about 40 per cent of JF-17 fighters in two Pakistan Air force bases are grounded for a variety of reasons. And there is no quick fix for the problems as they relate to structural issues.

The JF-17's canopy electrical system is malfunctioning. This is also the case in the JF-17B, the dual seater. This is a potential danger as it makes ejection by the pilot in case of it being required either difficult or almost impossible.

There are problems with the fuselage, with cracks being detected in the lower fairing skin. This is an area that is most affected by G or gravity-related pressures.

There have been cracks in the strake areas, which could be in the fuselage or wings. A strake is a strengthening device and again, this could be because of stress during flying.

There are also cases of anchor breakages in the JF-17. This is another sign of structural weakness. The radar and it's attached equipment is heavy and is clearly too heavy for that part of the fighter, sources said.
So 40 percent of fighters in 2 sqadrons are grounded.
So assuming a squadron has 12 aircraft that's 10 aircraft in the total Pakistani airforce. Indians loool

can we seriously afford a 10th gen fighter with our economy at the moment?
The real question is will we get it with its thaila or will we get TOT Afor the thaila.
