Srinagar: Indian Army troops overpowered and captured two infiltrating Pakistani militants on the Line of Control (LoC) in Jammu and Kashmir's Kupwara district, an official statement said today.

According to a defence statement, the two men were infiltrating into Indian territory in the Tangdhar sector on the evening of Oct 12 when they were captured.

The statement said that based on specific intelligence inputs, the army had established cordon and surveillance points near the LOC.

"The terrorists were challenged and overpowered by the troops. One pistol, two magazines, ammunition and identity cards issued by ****************** Kashmir were among the various items recovered from the terrorists," the statement said.

The terrorists were later handed over to local police.

Given this token - either the news is not credible or the terrorists are too naive! I have reasons to consider the former a strong possibility.

. . .
Why ? Doesn't this lend credibility to Pakistani claim of these terrorists being a Kashmiri phenomenon?

May be it does, for a few intruders have been a source of torment to an army of more than .5 million personnel. They somehow manage to trespass one of the most securest LOC/borders in the world.

Whether they are the product of Kasmiri phenomenon or not but they by all means are not naive, are they?

How are you sure that they manage to tresspass, without bein shot at? Terrorist attacks in J&K are at the rock bottom, while infiltration attempts are at the same level, so where is the difference going? Obviously being eliminated at the LOC itself.

Every third day I get to hear a lament that's why. Anyway, what I am implying is different.

I must tell you they are not naive by any measure but are actuall very smart, they know that those IDs indicating them being Kashmiri only can save them from certain death. BSF have zero tolerance for all others who are not Kashmiri.
