Indian state offers prizes for sterilisation

. .
Preventing poor from breeding is common sense ? You are saying that they are useless eaters ?

No one is stopping anyone from breeding, it is over breeding that we are talking about. NO, and I mean NO sterilisation clinic will as much as look at a childless man or a woman, let alone sterilise him or her. One is eligible for sterilisation only after a person furnishes proof that he/she already has at least 2 children. A woman who has given birth to only one child is certain to be turned away if she visits a sterilisation clinic.

I do not think that the article made any mention of 'poor' people being motivated to sterilise themselves. Or is it only the poor who breed? There is some monetary incentive already in place for undergoing sterilisation, government employees get it in the form of s 'special increment' with every salary slip. However there is little doubt that it is the poorer sections of the society who are also the lesser educated section, which tend to have more children, children they cant afford. Therefore, it will not be a bad idea to target this section if we are to address the issue of overpopulation.

I do not know of any business which is small enough to be opened for the cost of a food processor, do you?

atleast 3 childrens..cute children,nice childrens:laugh:

Only three children to replace two parents.

There are diseases, accidents, crime, natural disasters and all sorts of calamities Allah forbid. Are 3 sufficient just to maintain the present population ?

. .
right, because those who breed like rabbits have no personal responsibility.

So only the rich have the right to breed ?

only to a certain extent, prosperity alone cannot control birth rate

Then why is birth control so low in western country. Why do they have to resort to immigration to meet their manpower needs

Indian state offers prizes for sterilisation

Women in Rajasthan offered chance to win food processors and cars in controversial effort to slow baby boom.
Last Modified: 06 Dec 2011 06:35

India has 1.2 billion people and is fast catching up with China as the world’s most populous nation. In an attempt to slow down the baby boom the state of Rajasthan, home to 68 million people, is offering prizes in exchange for sterilisation.

Now women can win anything from food processors to cars in exchange for being sterilised.

This latest effort by state officials has raised controversy as the procedure is still viewed with suspicion after the government introduced a forced sterilisation program the 1970s.

Al Jazeera's Prerna Suri reports from the western state of Rajasthan.

you dont have to be rich to breed, but India suffers from poverty and the last thing we need is more mouths to feed.
