These people go to protest against brutality to the cows because they are not hypocrites like you. If they were brutes they would have gotten acclimatized to brutality to animals and not given a damn about cows being slaughtered. The fact of the matter is these people are exceptionally kind to all living creatures. So you dont have an answer. you are just giving statements. That means worshiping Idols by Hindus is not Offensive to Islam.

Worshiping Idols is OFFENSIVE to Christians, Muslims and Jews and therefore forbidden in all of these religions.
But is still tolerated if followers of a particular religion want to practice it. This is called tolerance. But if some country which calls itself "Islamic Republic...", "Christian Republic...", "Jewish Republic..." would ban it, you can understand it. Simply because it is not a secular country.

Now to the second point, eating beef is not mandatory in Islam. That means it does not matter whether muslims eat beef or not, they will remain muslims. On the other hand Cow is a sacred animal to Hindus in Hinduism. Its slaughter is offensive to Hindus. Secularism says no offense to any religion. So cow slaughter ban is Justified in secularism. Cow slaughter to Hindus is equal to drawing derogatory cartoons of your Prophet. So banning cow slaughter is perfectly secular as banning drawing of derogatory cartoons of your Prophet.

Again slaughtering animals such as goats, cows, lamb etc is mandatory for Muslims if they can afford it (at least once a year). And all of these animals are an important source of food for people (Muslims, Christians, Jews etc).

So now because one majority religion find it offensive and want the other minorities to follow it or face persecution, they are denying the very core of secularism.

Cartoons on the other hand which promote hatred, child pornography or violence on the other hand is a completely different matter, which you can discuss in another thread.

Prophet cartoon issue is no different from the issue of Hindu Goddess pictures on swimming costumes or footwear.
