An Indian soldier was killed and two others wounded in a gunfight in Baramulla district of Kashmir, sources said on Tuesday.

Official sources said that a soldier of 7 JAK Rifles identified as Yama Bahadur was killed and two others were injured in an encounter near Tip Post at Uri in Baramulla district.

A search operation was launched in the area to track the militants.
