What's new

Indian series is making up more than 50 per cent of the budget : PCB

Why ?

We stopped playing for a reason. Does that reason go away or the concern get solved by playing elsewhere ?
India has invited Pakistan to play in India....
BCCI doesn't want the series to happen in the U.A.E because of its clash with Zee group who own the television rights of Pakistan home series.

Basically the folks at BCCI are making a pudhu of nationalist Bhartis who think its taking a stand because of politics.

.
India should play Pakistan in UAE....
Pakistan played two series in India...
Now India should play them in UAE which is their home ground.....
Just my view.

Maam???

Isn't Ten Sports Indian as well?
Yes, it is. But BCCI will make more money if the Series is played in India. Those days are when India & Pakistan played series in UAE, BCCI knows where is profit and PCB should also understand business reason.

Lets, throw bad attitude and play the game in India because that is feasible and beneficial to both the sides. Yes Pakistan team will miss support here, but don't worry majority of Indian fans support cricket as a game and you will get our support if you play better.:agree:

The only reason you stopped playing us is because you cant stand the humiliation of defeat like the last one we gave you in your home- all the rest are just lame excuses - Mumbai incident is no way related to cricket keeping in mind you have no trouble playing Pakistan in other sports - like hockey kabbadi et all- that is where you have a good chance nve of winning actually -

.
Well can anyone post the future schedule of Team India without the Pakistani series.

I think 2 tests are still left and then we have to host Australia .
Is the window in between big enough to organise a big series which PCB is quoting?

Yep!..I agree we should live up to our commitment!..If the only reason not to play Pakistan is because of the existing border situation in regards to Kashmir...Then all sports should have been stopped, not just cricket. Also these clowns at the BCCI are making us look very unprofessional. "With Power comes great responsibility and also absolute power corrupts absolutely"

I have a question for indians here. You guys refused to play with us due to ongoing political crisis and us supporting terrorism yet you guys now want to play a series in india. Isnt this fishy? If the problem was actually what you stated then you would have never asked us to play not even in india. The real problem is money. If we host it in uae then ten sports would be the broadcaster which would mean all profits for pcb not bcci. Sri lanka also has tensports but you only played with them in your last tour after they allowed you to choose your own broadcaster. Stop turning this beautiful game into a business please.

Perhaps you did not know, Ten Sports is Indian as well, head quarters in Mumbai.

The Ten Sports-Doordarshan battle, which had led to uncertainty over the telecast of the historic India-Pakistan cricket series, had made millions of fans bite their nails in anxiety.

Ten Sports has the exclusive telecast rights for all cricket matches played in Pakistan. It has also bagged the telecast rights for West Indies cricket for the next five years. The combined cost of both acquisitions is said to be around $50 million.

The sports channel demanded $24 million from Doordarshan to share its live telecast feed, but DD refused to part with that amount leading to a high-profile battle which moved from the high courts of Mumbai, Chennai and Delhi to the Supreme Court. Due to the apex court's intervention, cricket fans in India have been able to watch the first two ODIs.

Meanwhile, Ten Sports has indicated that it might be ready for an out-of-court settlement over the issue with DD, to put the controversy to rest.

But what is Ten Sports? Who owns it? Let us find out.
