Vistara all the way.The damn airline needs to be grounded. All signs of poor maintenance practices are showing up in the recent months. DGCA needs to wake up before some tragedy strikes. I don't allow any family member to book tickets on Spice Jet

we have diplomatic relations with our hostile nation and people on board are civilian and we don,t have any enmity with them .what would be their behaviour with us in such conditions, would be similar to ours ,surly, that is an international norm and practice so don,t be so overexcited in your anger. No need to be over sympathetic, they are no friends and have always wished ill upon us.

KARACHI: A Dubai-bound Indian flight with 138 passengers on board made an emergency landing at Karachi’s Jinnah International Airport (JIAP) due to a technical fault developed during the journey.
The sources in the aviation department shared that SpiceJet flight SG-11 encountered a technical issue in Pakistan’s airspace and sought emergency landing permission at the Karachi airport.
They said that the permission was granted on humanitarian grounds at the request of the Indian pilot.
The passengers are not allowed to disembark.
Meanwhile, the Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) said that the engineers are working to fix the fault and only after their clearance the aircraft will be allowed to fly.
In a statement, the Indian airline stated that SpiceJet B737 aircraft operating flight SG-11 (Delhi - Dubai) was diverted to Karachi due to an indicator light malfunctioning.
“The aircraft landed safely at Karachi. There was no earlier report of any malfunction with the aircraft. Passengers have been served refreshments.”
A replacement aircraft is being sent to Karachi that will take the passengers to Dubai, it added.

Every time I read such news… it reminds me about my experience when I was flying to Lahore and ended up doing emergency landing at Delhi.
I hope the passengers were taken care of at Karachi.
Agreed, but we should not follow bad reactions shown by few,say hunderds, but should follow our customs and traditions as a human being and as a Muslim too.Good to see them safe and Karachi did its part.
The irony is that this is the same airport was the destination of PIA flight 8303 which crashed leaving 97 were shaheed. This prompted wild celebrations on Indian social media that many terrorists were dead and each post received hundreds of thousands of likes, and it wasn't just the sanghi crowd but 'normal' folk at it.
Several months later Air India flight 1344 crashed in Calcutta killing 27 on board. There was silence from these social feeds, but many good Indian posters pointed to how their fellow countrymen had mocked the deaths of people across the border.
Regardless of who it is people should be helped and accidents shouldn't be celebrated.
Yes. We were in the plane for about 8-10 hour followed by President-like protocol for each passenger to escort them to the departures lounge. We were able to walk around the departures area for the next 24-30 hour and every member of staff working at the Airport were called on emergency basis. It was gulf Air but we could see staff of every Airline handling our flights passengers and the presence of military was so much that there were 5-10 military officers keeping an eye on every individual.Did you get to walk around Delhi airport?
but we should not follow bad reactions shown by few,say hunderds,
Afterall they advertise themselves more as a flying restaurant than an airlineHalf a dozen malfunctions in last ~2 weeks, have been avoiding this airline religiously from few months now. :/

International aviation rules are developed by the West and violating emergency rules would bring sanctions. Most third world countries with their petty ultra nationalisms are incapable of developing laws valuing human lives above egos.that is an international norm and practice so don,t be so overexcited in your anger.
