indian navy want more ships

In you original post i see you said "2o,nuk.subs" i know the navy has no plans for such a large nuke sub fleet . so i ask again are these your figures ? if not any links towards what the Minister said?

Buddy India is going in for 10 nuke subs till 2025 if I am correct. 1st and 2nd submarines are 100% similar. 3rd & 4th vessels are expected to be more bigger in size and weight compared to 1st 2 subs. When 3rd and 4th sub is ready then 1st and 2nd will be converted in SSGN. Another 6 nuke subs are being developed(status not known). These will be SSNs. Hope I have cleared it.

Yep 10 makes sense but not the number quoted by the OP of 20

ak antoni says that indian navy want more ships to defend indian ocen and bay of bangel. he says thet our navy want more destroyers frigates and corvettes and missile boat (and all know subs.)at this time he get new standerd from navy officers. like this 1)a.c.c.-4,destroyers-25,frigates-35,corvetts-2o,nuk.subs-up to 8-10,des-aip subs-up to22-25, Amphibious Warships - 6
* LPD's - 4. can u prefere our new ships?

4 - ACC's
25 - Destroyers
35 - Frigates
20 - Corvettes
8/10 - Nuke subs
22/25 - diesel AIP subs
6 - Amphibious warships
4 - LPD's

Other than the numbers of AIP subs and destroyers most seem to be in order.

Again buddy you are misreading the OP. I am highlighting it.

20 is written for corvettes. nuke subs is 8-10. Check it clearly. How ever OP has not written it properly.

2 nuke subs from Russia-clear, 1 Arihant class ready, 1 almost ready. These 2 will be available by 2015 possibly. 3rd and 4th are under manufacturing right now, by 2020 highly possible. 6 done. Now 6 SSN subs status is not known to anyone. So only guess but one thing is pretty sure that they are same copy of 1st generation Arihant class subs, same wight. so it is highly possible that their induction rate will be much more faster than SSBNs. So in total of 12 Subs at-least we can manage 10 subs within 2025. Isn't it.

I am talking about project delay especially in navy. 2-3 year delay is very normal.

Yes mate that is why I have presented a conservative target. 13 years for 8-9 boats, don't you think its possible considering that another two are already under construction since last 1-2 years. Only thing is not clear that status is not known of Arihant class SSN.
For 2-3 years delay, consider Arindam is already going final out fitting in Visakhapatnam. Arihant is already set for sea trials.
2 boats under construction in Gujarat. 4 are simultaneously in various phases. And it is happening when we are just learning how to walk. Just give them 5 years, they will be master in doing such kind of job at a much faster and larger scale.
