What's new

Indian Navy Aircraft Carriers and Ships

$ 2.35 billion is the total amount for the refit + original contract for mig 29k, etc. 1 billion is for the additional 29 mig 29k's which were ordered afterwards.

For what India is paying it is getting a good deal as the AC is now around 80% new, with life of around 30 years, it will carry around 24 mig's with some 6-7 helis on it, no doubt if we remove the AC's of the US in the region, Vikramaditya with displacement of over 45k & it's mini air force will be the King of the Indian Ocean

The cost includes training of crew in Russia and setting up some facilities in India, not sure what those are. I hope SBTF is also part of the deal

What's that 40years AC operational experience bring about? Still need to Pay greedy Russian to Get one? We only cost 10 years to get all these done by paying Ukraine 20millions. It is not fraudulent, it's Tactics.

Indians prefer meditating and Chinese keep working, that's the difference.

The flying deck size of our carrier is much bigger than Vikramaditya. China is ways one step ahead of India. We overhaul and rebuild the whole carrier, but you got great dosa making machine on yours. Congrats, bravo!

that machine makes special dosa of our enemies.

STFO............. ignorant..... tell me what kinda tactics chinese do have.... except copy pasting or smuggling technology secretly calling Indigenous...... get a life bud.... go back to your threads.... don't derail this thread... with your nasty ego... If our AC is smaller than you ... what is wrong with it....

What you got is a piece of metal junk...........In fact it was given to you at prevailing prices of various metals!!
What we get is a fully loaded, refurbished AC, with proven Russian Tech..........
What you get is an experiment in how AC is supposed to work and other such initial steps.........

Vikramaditya is a potent aircraft carrier

and we are building IAC 1

The only proven technology is carrier Kuznetsov, same class with Vayag.

But unlike Kuznetsov, Varyag was stripped bare to it's hull before being sold to the Chinese............they have absolutely nothing in common now, except the hull
