I honestly believe Hindus have nothing to fear from in India. But the muslims left there and the Hindus of Pakistan have much to fear. Even my mamoo a patriotic Indian who was killed admitted there are biases in India. We were refused access to a hospital once when visiting a relative because we were muslim. Houses are not available for muslims.
I personally believe in minority appeasement something Indians believe is happening in their country even though it is not true. Pakistani hindus should be given a fund for yatra, forced conversions should be stopped with an iron hand and a way designated for ashes to be distributed for sending into the ganga.
I believe in majority Islamic/Hindu/Christian countries some form of appeasement is necessary for minorities. My sister visited Kenya and one of the things that surprised us most is that everywhere we went there was halal food. They have a smaller population of muslims than India and a smaller percentage.
The problem is also in some muslims. Except some muslims living in the gulf who have had a taste of foodie freedom and vouch for all outlets to be halal in India the rest of the muslims left there are unconcerned. The rest don't even think there is a problem with beef unavailable and halal food available in only some outlets and not main fast food chains like Pizza hut and McDonalds. I think muslims left there do not often stand up for their rights and when they do they are labelled anti national.
Anyway back to Hindus being oppressed. Hindus have a literacy almost 10% higher than muslims. Muslims are about 40% of the jail population in some states and their percentage is around 3% in civil services while they make up 14% of the population. So Indians need to look critically at who is oppressed and who is enjoying special treatment.
