Incorrect.

The laws u mentioned were actually put there by none other than PPP, not Gen Zia.

As for Maulana,

If he believes in half of what he says, then I think he should have been sitting in the front seats as the people from BJP were.

Why was it, that the indian (self proclaimed muslims) got seated wayyyyyyyyy at the back.

Secondly I encouraged you to see the rest of the question and answers in that press conference, and to compare Maulana with what the others were trying to do.

Thirdly, in my opinion it is people like this "Maulana" who are the reason and the only reason for the bad name the Muslims got.
They created their own "My shrine" my interpretation cycle.

Had it not been for these idiots, Muslims would have stuck to the book like they were supposed to.

He got the last seat ... and that proves what ?

. .
with different reasons ofcourse !! :bounce:

isnot the guy in your avatar some one from Nehru family?

Yes, he is Rahul Gandhi. Son on Shri Rajiv Gandhi. He is not in the government even though he can quite easily get a cabinet post. He is working for his party. There are many such leaders in India who belong to BJP, Congress and some belong to few regional parties. But all of them have one thing in common, a desire to do something good for the country. However, the number is not large.

Indian Muslims can stick their Indianism and so called secularism to their @$$ - we are happy with what we have got here.

but as far as i know the founding father of pakistan M.A. jinnah wanted pakistan to be a secular state, ur post show that today's pakistan has drifted far away from jinnah's ideology.

Salman slams Emraan Hashmi

Read this as well .

And let me tell you these people own such lavish apartments in hindu majority areas in mumbai which the common hindu man even from the upper middle class can't dream to buy . Ask anybody who has lived in or visited mumbai .

Emraan Hashmi would not have been what he is today had it not been for mahesh bhatt ; a hindu , for the hindu majority bollywood and for his hindu majority fan following .

Jinnah wanted Pakistan to become an Islamic democracy not a secular state , this issue has been discussed to death here.
Javed should mind his own ******* business , how dare he compare Jinnah with LK-Advani and calling him an atheist -- javed is a ********.

Of course Jinnah's Muslim league was quite similar to erstwhile RSS (not modern RSS).

Both believed in the two nation theory.

Both believed that Hindus and Muslims cannot live together.

Both believed in violence to achieve their political goals.

Both despised the then secular congress.

Both were dead against Gandhi's secular policies.

Both supported the British.

It's just that while Jinnah's ML succeeded in creating Pakistan while the RSS failed in creating a similar Hindu theocratic state in India.

Both similar ideologies. One succeeded, other failed.

RSS of that time and Jinnah's ML were mirror images of each other.

i think u need to hear jinnah's speeches again, he had quite often used the word "secular". only those people hate secularism who don't believe that different religions can coexist peacefully.

yes and the prove is Jinnah said "I alone fought the british and hindus to create a homeland for myself, I felt conjusted in my mumbai villa, I needed a bigger house, I also allow you poor mango people to live in it...but I want it to be Secular, a complete secular state, secular and nothing but secular. this is it I have decided my new home would se secular" speech in first constituent assembly :blah:

I attended a discussion panel with Mr. Akhtar where he spoke about how Urdu is dying in India because it is associated with Islam but also pointed out that a language can never be religious - if German is not Nazi, if English is not Christian then how can Urdu be Islamic? Incidentally, the High Commissioner of Pakistan was also present and spoke very highly of Mr. Akhtar saying he is held in high esteem by all Pakistanis.

.
Actually Jinnah assumed he would get Muslim majority provinces to be Pakistan - he did not realize that the British would carve up those provinces. If Jinnah had his way - Pakistan would be present day Pakistan + Indian Punjab + Haryana + Himachal Pradesh + Kashmir + West Bengal + Bangladesh. This would have a sizable minority population and hence the need to protect minorities and be a secular state.

The whole press conference was just that ... If maulana was so interested,

how come he didn't get a seat some where in the front, maybe along side B J P ?

Details of the Maulana

Assalamualaykum

Son of great Islamic scholar Sheikhul Islam Hadhrat Maulana Syed Husain Ahmed Madani (1879-1957), the 67-year old Maulana Syed Arshad Madani, who teaches Hadees at Daru Uloom Deoband, succeeded his elder brother Maulana Syed Asad Madani following his passing away on February 8, 2006 as President of the 86-year old Jamiat Ulama-i-Hind.

Born in 1941 Maulana Syed Arshad Madani got the entire Quran by heart at the age of only eight years and the first man to listen to his hifz was his father himself. Later on, after completing the five-year course of Persian as per the then rule of Darul Uloom, Deoband, he began Arabic education in 1955, and took admission there in 1959. He completed his Hadees studies in 1963.

He was taught and trained by great Islamic scholars like Qari Asghar Ali, Maulana Syed Fakhruddin Moradabadi, Maulana Ezaz Ali, Allama Mohammed Ibrahim Balyavi, Maulana Jaleel Ahmed Kairanvi, Maulana Akhtar Husain Deobandi and Maulana Waheeduzzaman Kairanvi.

He went to Madinah and spent there 14 months before joining as a teacher of Hadees at Jamia Qasmia, Gaya (Bihar) in 1965. Later, he shifted in 1969 to Jamia Qasmia Madarsa Shahi, Moradabad (UP). He joined Darul Uloom, Deoband in 1982 and since then continues to teach Hadees there. Even after shouldering the responsibility of the president of Jamiat in February, 2006, he manages to go to Deoband every week and devote three days to his favourite work of teaching. He is a member of the working committee of Jamiat since 1984.

As a man of letters, he takes interest in the scholarly works since very beginning. He is credited to render his father Sheikhul Islam Maulana Husain Ahmed Madani’s Urdu Tafseer-e-Quran (Commentary of Quran) into Hindi in two volumes in 1991 after a long dedication of eleven years. His other intellectual works include the 722-page analysis of Ibn Wahban’s papers “Aqadul Faraed Fi Takmil Qaidus Sharaet (in Fiqah Hanfi)” in two volumes; 10 out of 13 volumes of analysis of Hafiz Badruddin Aini’s unique papers “Nakhbul Afkar Fi Tanqih Moba Nil Akhbar Fi Sharah M’anil A’sar” after locating it from an Egyptian library; and his father’s autobiography “Naqsh-e-Hayat” form Urdu into Arabic.

He also spares time for social works. He is the person to introduce contemporary education in a religious environment through Maulana Madani Memorial English Medium School and other educational institutions as well as ITIs under the Madani Charitable Trust, founded in 1997. He heads a number of Islamic seminaries and bodies.
