Everything indian is alien to us, it's unfathomable customs and it's culture, it is a vindication for the two nation theory.

I think you are right to certain extent, if religion is a public affair. If the state is completely secular, and people are religious in private, this is definitely possible.
How do you think muslims are living in western countries(and migrating too)
Also, religion is not the only difference, there could be differences in ethnicity and languages too. How many countries you want to make based on those.
And within muslims there are sharp differences too(same for other religions)

IMO indian is not a nation - it is too different culturally, ethnically, linguistically to be a nation, but as it is not my country and not my forefathers land, I am largely indifferent to her and her mind blowing otherness.

Thats what I'm saying, no cares about how "amazing" life in india is or how miserable it is. People need to get a life, indians are going on as if we're hurt and are so affected by Akthars statement

Being a non muslim, I would say there is some discrimination, but situation has improved a lot.
But I would agree, backwardness has more to do with Muslims focusing on political rights till now(as opposed to economic and educational rights).
I can see the same thing happening in UK(Muslims making political groups to make their point heard, rather than focusing on education and economic prosperity), and I fear majority backlash.

U got my point exactly .
The situation is now changing drastically .
The people tht were oppossed to education have strted focussing on it .
Prior when during our family get-together there used to be talks of Kashmir , Pakistan, nuclear weapons and war but now it's abt economy , investments and developing India

Not all milk and honey.

No country is perfect , neither is any democracy including the western ones but for a third world , poor country Indian secularism and democracy has been quite successfull till now .

Incidents like gujrat are no the norm but exceptions , however one thing everybody in India and india's unbiased observers abroad know is that India today is more secular than a decade ago and more than it has ever been in its post indipendence history and that is the trend that is most likely to continue with our economic growth and improving education levels of the population .

But ofcourse where there is diversity disagreements and some violence will always be there like in USA and EU even today . However , That is ineveitable particularly when a country is home to the most diverse peoples of the world and 1/6 th of the world humanity . For a large and diverse country i ll repeat again we have done a pretty decent/ good job

I know the interview is offensive to Pakistanis . But he spoke his mind instead of being the typical Bollywood brown nosing speeches. About the interviewer, I have seen his other interviews and they are no different. He wants to show that he is in control. But he should try doing it in a less annoying way.

We wouldn't give a flying "£$% about what any indian thinks of us, it is simply indian hubris - that their opinion amounts to a hill of beans to any Pakistani, they are our nation and races eternal enemy.
