Respected members, I need advice with an unpleasant experience with online shopping on Jabong. On 7th December I ordered a pair of crocs loafers worth 3244. Status immediately went to in Transit from Gurgaon, I am based out of Pune. Afterwards they kept on delaying for 2-2 days till yesterday. Today I got a call that the product can not be sent, and if I have to buy the same I have to pay the non discounted price which is > 7k. The other option they say is to get the money refunded. Same shoes (crocs Walu accent) are still showing as available on their website at an even more discounted price. I can not understand what's the matter with them. My money is with them for 11 days now, is it a method to earn on interest as there might be other consumers going for the same product? Now I have asked them to send me the same communication by email, I guess they wouldn't send it.
If you have faced something similar and know how to finger(consumer forum?) them, please mention. Not that I was holding my breath for the shoes, but nevertheless consider it a major breach in service. TIA.
1. they promised delivery but did not deliver... below is from their "terms and conditions" page
[1] and according to it there should be no reason for non-delivery unless they somehow use point# 4...
you have the right to ask the exact reason for their non-delivery.
and you say that you have seen the order status change to transit... did you see this on the jabong website?? according to the above screenshot, you should have received a email after you have placed your order... did you receive it??
2. they now declare that if you want the shoes
they promised at discounted price you must pay them the non-discounted price... this is holding you to ransom !! this is cheating !!
3. the other option they so generously give is of you taking your money back... ridiculous !! you made the effort of ordering on their website and they to earn money took your order and promised delivery... they shouldn't have taken your order if they didn't want your money in the first place !! this would be a breach of promise.
4. the shoes are still listed on the website at discounted price whereas their phone call demands from you the non-discount price... this simply is misleading you and misleading the public... get a screenshot of the website discount price and you have anyway asked them to email you what they said on phone.
5. they holding your money for 11 days without delivery is essentially illegal confiscation of your money.

i agree with
@GURU DUTT about you approaching the consumer forum... this may seem troublesome but there is absolutely no reason for jabong to trouble you when in fact you were giving them business.
and i don't think they can earn a large interest off less than 5000 rupees, unless they do with thousands of customers.

well, after you had complained, they should have taken even your single case to be something going against the efficiency and ethics of their business procedures and they should have taken serious steps in correcting the mistake so that no other customer in future has this complaint... your case should have been seen by them as excuse for improvement, but seems they have not improved.
khujliwal, if you want you can include this person in the email, bhushan, as part of your complaint with the consumer forum because he has not done his assigned job.
