Anyone who has read my posts will know that I am not a follower of Deobandi School. Allah knows that I abhor Lej thugs. However, in my view, whatever the provocation in this particular case; it was verbal thru loud speaker; and did not justify burning of a mosque and killing innocent worshippers. The perpetrators should be punished ruthlessly.

It is ironic that wen Indian Hindus kill Muslims as happened in Gujarat; they don’t differentiate between Shia & Sunni. Neither do most of the other non-Muslims. However, we the Muslims, are so narrow minded and bigoted that we are still killing each other about what happened in 680 AD (61 AH) that is more than 1400 ago. It is clear that we are too weak to fight India and take Kashmir, or anyone else for that matter; all we are capable of is it to kill each other.

Beautiful, a Indian born British lawyer complaining after loosing the case. Obviously you wouldn't find an non-party lawyer complaining but the one who lost and who's sympathies with the criminal are evident from his name.

Nothing come closer to his own confession and in the court of law, convict can inform the courts if he was forced to confess or not. Its a stupid argument that trial was conducted in English and he could not understand. The Judge before announcing the punishment is bound to ask the witness directly and witness responds to the judge directly. Which fairy tales have you been guys reading that Singh would not understand English but a Pakistani court was as if originated in Great Britin which spoke English only. There cannot be a more pu&sy argument than that.

Regarding fast-tracked trials, if you guys had intent of learning, you must had learned that anti-terror courts in Pakistan conducted such trials on high-priority and culprits are punished provided confession is made or evidence of their crime is available which was sufficiently there. Your whole deniability comes from suspicion that Sarbajit was tortured, which not even the defending laywer from "britin" could prove. If Sarbjit was tortured, this must have been the first argument in his favor which obviously wasn't here. Besides, signs of torture do not heal upon wish and when trial was fast-tracked, non-fast-track healing of human body.

Come to forensic evidence now, what forensic evidence have you guys been able to produce against Hafiz Saeed who you bash so openly and on national level? Why do you think you guys are failing? There is a reason, production of evidence in acts of terrorism is always hard because of nature of the crime. What forensic evidence you had aginst Kassab except that you saw him in videos with gun and arrested him from the crime spot. Pakistan was not an enemy of Sarbajit, just like India wasn't an enemy of Kassab. If you guys give punishment to criminals and terrorists, whats wrong if self-confessing terrorists are punished in Pakistan?

You suspect Surbjit was tortured? learn from one of your own countrymen, the set free Surjeet Singh and feel some shame before pointing fingers next time.

EVIDENCE I: ARMS & AMMO

The forensic lab has carried out 69 ballistic tests on arms and ammunition recovered from the sites. The evidence includes AK-47s, 9-mm pistols, bullets and cartridges, hand grenades, traces of TNT and detonators used by the terrorists.

The police say the 9-mm pistols used by the terrorists were manufactured by Pakistan-based Diamond Nedi Frontier Arms Company and the grenades by Arges, a Pakistan Ordnance Factory franchisee.

EVIDENCE II: THE RDX-LACED BOMBS

Tests have revealed that bombs contained RDX. Two exploded in taxis at Vile Parle and Wadi Bunder, two at Oberoi, one exploded on the fifth floor of the Taj, two were discovered around the hotel, one burst on the Nariman House premises, another a few metres away at a petrol pump and the 10th was recovered from a bag left behind at CST.

EVIDENCE III: THE DEBRIS

Debris from Wadi Bunder and Vile Parle has been analysed.

EVIDENCE IV: DNA SAMPLES FROM ARTICLES OF DAILY USE

DNA samples of Kasab and nine other terrorists matched with those found on articles they used on M V Kuber. Forensic experts collected DNA samples of 16 articles. Ten were collected from toothbrushes, jackets, blankets and food packets and all matched with samples collected from the 10 terrorists. However, six DNA samples gathered from the trawler did not match the terrorists'; officials said they must have belonged to Kuber crew members.

EVIDENCE V: THE MOTOR

The terrorists used a dinghy to land at Badhwar Park, Cuffe Parade. The motor used in the dinghy was a Yamaha engine imported into Pakistan and distributed by Business of Engineering Trends, Lahore.

EVIDENCE VI: THE VISCERA

Forensic experts also examined the slain terrorists' viscera. It did not show traces of any drug but established that they had been on a diet of nuts before entering Mumbai.

WHAT'S YET TO BE TESTED

Experts are yet to analyse a few ballistic samples and a couple of detonators.

MUMBAI: As the first anniversary of 26/11 Mumbai terror attacks nears, all eyes are set on the special court where the prosecution is gearing up to wrap up the case against Pakistan gunman Ajmal Kasab and two others who are charged with killing 166 persons.

With the testimony of 250 witnesses and strong forensic evidence, the prosecution has prepared a water-tight case against Kasab, Special Public Prosecutor Ujjwal Nikam told PTI.

The keenly-watched trial, which began in April, is expected to be over this month end with just a few witnesses left to depose before Judge M L Tahaliyani.

Kasab is confined to a specially-built isolated cell in the high security central prison and is guarded by a strong posse of Indo-Tibetan Border Security Force round the clock.

Altogether 30 eye witnesses have identified Kasab in the identification parade and in the court. Forensic experts have also given their opinion that the DNA of articles found from Kuber boat (in which terrorists landed in Mumbai) matched with the DNA of Kasab and five other slain terrorists.

The prosecution has also screened in the court CCTV footages of terrorists from cameras installed at Chhatrapati Shivaji Terminus (CST), Times of India Building (opposite CST), Hotel Taj and Hotel Oberoi-Trident.
