Indian Govt to develop own operating system

Guys don't get cofused by the way I have given thanks to the posters... in one post I was thanking the guy who was supporting Wipro, and in other posts I was thanking guys who were criticizing Wipro... my point is simple, in Wipro all sorts of work is being done from BPO to hardware design... so they have the capability to do ....

But some members were criticizinf Wipro for not having the will to do it... I support that point of view... as far as I know Wipro does not want to take any risk at all...

Totally ignorant assumption. Wipro/Infosys/TCS/Satyam... don't have the skills nor the knowledge to do d1ck squat needed for complex tasks, leave alone designing, engineering, innovating leading edge technology.

The COMBINED intellectual and industrial capacity (and output) of India as a whole is put to shame by small nations like DPRK and ROK. Even Taiwans 22 million or so residents can easily intellectually b1tchslap Indians around. Indians can NOT compare favorably to Vietnamese, much less the East Asian Powerhouses (China, Japan, Korea).... so wake up from your fantasies.:hitwall:

download linux kernel source code and see for yourself...

are you seriously trying to argue your points... ?

sorry not being able to understand... what you are trying to say... :(

Check out /kernel

End of line.

And, kernel source code in most operating systems is written in a high level language that can be compiled into object code using any a cross-compiler. So the kernel doesn't need to be rewritten.

My friend, The Above listed companies are having Unmatched potential, You take a simple company HCL in India which does the Aero space solutions for Boing and Airbus, Take a Minor company called Ramko enterprises, who made The Software Equivalent to SAP.And Airlines MAINTENANCE Software for Boing

The Above listed companies Are Giants in Software technologies, No Wonder Micro Soft shifting its base to India, Indians Might be a Joke to You, But to the world, we are the Potential....

Please let us all know How have You combined and calculated the Industrial capacity of Ours, Please share it with us....

There are Architects who design and the Construction companies who make a product out of drawings given to them by the Architects.

West act like software Architects and Indian software companies as Construction companies making product according to their specific needs.

It will be the first time India will shake them up that we can take care of our own domestic software needs, which is western software market right now.

A new kernel is not required for a different processor architecture, unless the processor is not a von-neumann machine. You just need a new cross-compiler.

your idea of kernel is whatever code is there in /kernel folder ?

and as per your idea, if you cross compile this your "/kernel" folder you will be able to run the linux kernel in the new processor ?

you lost your marbles... extremely sorry for being in this debate with you... but still can't avoid replying to you...

We have companies like Wipro/Infosys/TCS/Satyam, those develop everything including designing, engineering, and innovating cutting edge technologies. But what you have to compare? Oh sorry, nothing!!! They have d1cks to try, but you even don't have one!!!

India's GDP is many times more than that of small countries like ROK and India can return the slap if anyone try, just like we did to Canada. But its really funny to watch how you try hard to cover up your failures criticizing India.

If you have the guts try to compare with your own country don't take cover under PRC or Japan. Otherwise even the 'b1tchslap' will be hard to digest.

If You have something worthy Enough to Contribute please do, Please do Not try to find Joy , Which you would certainly not, as India is prospering in Every field

a complete bigot from foreign country (yes you got it his username is starts with SinoIndus and ends with Friendship)was making idiotic comments not worth replying so deleted my replies...

Buddy, I've worked in TCS for two years, with friends from INFY, WIPRO and a bunch of Indian companies. Their compensation is on par with the pay given by foreign companies that setup shops there. I've seen and experienced it myself. The earnings are from BPO, hardware engineering, and software engineering.

One doesn't expect dell to go manufacture microprocessors!

Every organization has its own objective. Stop with the non-sense of "designing products". It doesn't prove anything.

Cut the crap out of here. Wipro doesn't give anything near to any other Indian companies forget the foreign one. You must have seen and experienced in BPO. Other than that Indian companies usually give less package and Wipro far less.

Congrats man you have just earned 50 cents

Gin Ka Pakistan, your analogy of Indian software companies as Construction companies is ****** to say the least... you do not know how the software industry in India works...

all the services companies in India have "Product" division also... which function as same as any other "Product" companies in west...
only thing they do not do is
1. Envision a product
2. Do market analysis
3. Do competitor analysis
4. Come up with requirements for the product to market
5. Market the product...

Except the above steps, the services companies in India are involed in THE MAJOR stuff,
after the step 4 and before step 5.

4a. Requirements analysis and break down to scenarios --> parts are handled by Indian companies
4b. do Research and Design the solution and implement it --> partly handled by Indian companies
4c. test the solution --> Partly / fully handled by Indian companies
4d. Integrate the solution with the other part of requirments handled by western companies --> partly / fully handled by Indian companies

and after step 5 comes the sustenance

6. Bug fixing --> partly/fully handled by Indian companies...
7. Product support during its life cycle --> almost fully handled by the Indian companies

So if you see Indian service companies have all the technological edge ... only thing they don't do is steps 1,2,3,4 and 5 which requires huge investment and has one hell of risk which these companies are vary of taking that is why their per capita revenue is low. Other than that whatever work done by these services companies will never be known outside... If you are having a Samsung cellphone then it definetely has components which involves aforementioned step 4a to 4d done in Bangalore

Only thing is people will never come to know that... people will always know it as Samsung Cellphone which is actually made in ROK... but the truth is it has got a huge contribution from Bangalore in the critical steps of 4a to 4d... same goes for considerable amount of products in the world in case of software...

I don't care if Toyota is not build in Japan but still its a Japaneses car. Indian companies are doing a lot in high tech but for others. even if GE for example makes a product 100% in Indian stills its a US product when it comes to the market.
