Indian government mulling self-government in occupied Kashmir: Mufti

New Delhi, May 2 (PPI):- Indian government is actively considering self-rule in occupied Jammu & Kashmir and Ladakh, former chief minister Mufti Mohammed Sayeed told CNN-IBN. Mufti claimed Pakistan government is also considering a similar move for Azad Kashmir. “Yes, idea of self governance is already there. There has been a back-channel discussion on this subject. Self-government should play a visionary role in our part of Kashmir. We have our autonomy and a separate constitution within the Constitution of India. Moreover people's verdict should not be negated,” he said. In an earlier statement he had said Indian Government must speed up internal confidence building process including reduction of troops and revocation of Armed Forces Special Powers Act in Held Kashmir. Mufti had said these measures should be followed up with initiatives like devising a joint institutional mechanism by involving legislators from both sides of Line of Control.(Posted @ 20:10 PS

Why not just have a vote in AJK and see if they want self rule or join the federation of pakistan.

Indian army to leave kashmir.

Indian army is much more needed in other places in India, the army guys are asking a recuritment of another 1 million force to keep things under control..........lol, dont ask me the "source".

Seriously, keep on waiting for that day. If that was the case as you said. Pakistan would be flying the Pakistani Flag in srinagar today, But they are not. You can blow up insignificant groups and their fantasies, and say India has problem, I agree India has problems, but not even a fraction of the level that you are implying. Therefore; I suggest a political dialouge or A military invasion of Kashmir, There is no other way of you finding a solution to Kashmir.

May be am wrong..but Kashmir solution is directly link with UNSC permanent seat for India....this scenario both China and Pakistan are involved, or may be resolving Kashmir, India might get positive vote from Pak and China...
