I'm so disappointed in Indians trying to downplay and whitewash their rape epidemic, or even suggest that other countries could possibly have problems of a magnitude as atrocious as India's. Your first priority, taking into account that you have dysfunctional society and impotent government, should be to take the most rudimentary steps to addressing the rape crisis, which has robbed Indian women of what little dignity they have. It should not be trying to 'save face', because this is an impossible task - rapists can't have 'face'.
