Get your facts straight buddy. GMR was contracted to operate and upgrade Ibrahim Nassir International Airport, not build it and even after GMR left, the airport is not in the hands of china but in the hands of Maldivian Gov.

Strange, until very recently I had always heard that Maldives was a good vacation spot.

Maldives is not one of them. And no, most muslim countries are hospitable. Otherwise so many Indians (hindus too) wont be going there for work.
