Really? If India were to declare every country "evil" that it lost a development project to China in, then a large chunk of the world would be evil. China is just really good at doing development projects in the third world we are just learning to compete.

Yes, I do. The penal code punishment of rape came down to us from the English system which I believe does injustice to the nature of the crime. Rape is henious and should be treated as such, especially in our region where sexual harrassment is an everyday phenomena.

What is interesting to note is even a single Indian in that 29,000 figure has not opted for Maldivian citizenship

Though it doesn't matter in anyway but Indian Muslims form the major bulk of people of the workforce that work in Muslim countries - the restrictions are acceptable to them, not to everyone - specially Hindu's who prefer freedom to pray and visit temples.
