Guys, Please take a Chill pill and stick to the topic. No personal attacks please.. India is going to buy defence equipments to modernize itself and reading the threat the perception it see. But that does not mean it will start attacking anybody as that will have huge impact on our economy. All these equipments are for defence only. So there is nothing to get boiled up about for anybody.

I agree that India, with its weapons procurement, still doesn't have the offensive ability against others. India will not be able to take on China and Pakistan and defeat them in 96 hours. Most importantly, India would not be able to supplant the US navy as the most powerful force in the Indian Ocean in the forseable future.

No, Pakistani media isn't low. It has acted responsibly whenever necessary and is unlikely to spread propaganda war like India.

Sir, don't you think needless importance is been given to the media. Which state can go to war, by listening to a bunch of news channels and newspapers? No offence but this does not make sense.
I am not exactly proud of our "skit playing(Chacha rehman) " media, but i have to disagree when you say Pakistani media is responsible.

Many Pakistani channels are flooded with conspiracy theorists, who thing world is Pak centric and everyone is plotting against Pakistan.
It is full of the likes of Zaid Hamind, and Ahamad Quaraishi who spin needless conspiracy theories and lie on national television, talk about war, and give religious twist to geo politics (Ghazwa Hind).

Then there are the likes of Hamid Gul who openly again on national television talk about nuking a city in India.

I hope you agree with me that Pakistani media is even more extreme and irresponsible ,resorts to giving religious justification for war and brainwashes the youth.

India is an irresponsible state which can get into war with Pakistan at any time listening to its cheap masala media. In order to ensure peace in the region and stability..Pakistan will have to have a response for India's advancement in every field..which is good for both of us.

For Pakistan well it will be nearly impossible to damage this thing in Air.It can only be destroyed on ground by Internal Sabotage or Special Forces.Other than that Pakistan has a slim chance due to it's range.

Since i realized that you are much senior to me, i have tried to contain my composer towards you, but if you habitually keep stepping on toes and resort to fancy triads, well, we haven't seen each other.

How do awacs protect itself? I know it uses jammers, chaffs, and all. Just like any fighter aircraft. But it's a big big beacon in the sky. So jamming/distracting using chaffs must be difficult.

You should learn a thing or two from pak-yes, blackblood, zaki. They are some great members here.

Learn to admit mistakes. It is you who is stepping on toes. You keep arguing without reason. Change this attitude of yours.

AWACS protects itself by staying away from action. Phalcon has range of over 300 kms. It can detect planes at ranges where the hostile aircraft cannot attack Phalcon. For it to be able to attack, the aircraft needs to get as close as 80 km to Phalcon. But the fighter aircrafts that escort AWACS would have responded way earlier.
