Don make this a big issue...any army Space is very much restricted area...My family is part of Army and air force...So I can understand this...Please do not blame Army on this…They are instructed to do so…They are not going to ask your ID or Age proof when you are into restricted area without Army permission… Army don follow civilian rule when any one is getting into Army restricted area... That Army person did not kill that Boy into civilian zone...or it is nothing like Karachi or Baluchistan Incident.

I myself used to live near an airport when I was small, but my parents made sure that I am never tempted to jump over the wall to visit the Boeings and Airbuses.

CHENNAI: Alleging that a jawan killed a boy who had strayed inside Army's premises, Tamil Nadu chief minister Jayalalithaa on Sunday asked it to hand over the accused to state police.

She also announced a compensation of Rs five lakh to the family of the boy.

"The jawan could have easily realised that the 13 year-old who tried to climb a tree was not an extremist or terrorist. It is condemnable that the boy was shot. Such opening of fire is not acceptable," she said in a statement soon after the boy was declared dead.

She said the chief secretary has written to the general officer commanding to hand over the army jawan, "who committed this brutal act," to state police.

"I will ensure that proper legal action is initiated against him," she said, urging people to maintain calm.

Sympathising with the family of the deceased, she announced a compensation of Rs five lakh from the chief minister's relief fund.

A 13-year-old boy on Sunday died of bullet injuries, after being allegedly shot by army personnel while trespassing into their premises, triggering protests from locals.

The army, however, denied the allegation that its personnel shot at Dilshan when he tried to pluck some fruits from the residential quarters in the premises.

The boy later succumbed to injuries at a government hospital, police said.

Mystery shrouded the teenager's death as an Army spokesperson said there was no armed guard inside the Island Ground colony near Tamil Nadu secretariat, virtually ruling out the force's hand in the firing.

A case has been registered and the city police as well as the military police are investigating the incident, army sources said.

Irate residents staged a protest demanding action against those responsible for the incident after the family of the boy alleged that he had been shot in the head.

Chennai, Jul 3: The 13-year-old boy, who was shot at by some army personnel in Chennai, died at the hospital on Sunday, Jul 3. The boy was taken to the hospital with serious injuries on the same day.

Family members of the victim started protesting against the army personnel. The victim entered an army area near Chennai Central Station and was reportedly shot at head.




The army man allegedly fired at the boy without bothering to carry any investigation. The family members of the deceased claimed that he (the victim) had entered the place to pluck mangoes.

It seems that some people, having guns and ammunitions, continues to misuse their power and position.
