1) Who was in security of the area. Army said civilian hired guards were in place but its unbelievable.
2) How can a boy enter the area, is it residential or barrack?
3) how can they direct shot him?

Why Indian army outsourced security of army complex ?

Holy crap..... i myself have been caught with my friends when we jumped inside the military base for fun but before we knew it we were surrounded by gurkas and were sternly warned and thrown out lol.In another instance a friend of mine plucked some mangoes inside this other huge naval base in tamil nadu but was caught and thrown inside military jail(this happened during the navy day function)....he was later released after some civilian officials intervened and requested the navy.

I am pretty sure they would not have just shot a boy like that or may be the guy who shot him was mental or something .

The army area is restricted!It was the kid's fault to enter such a place!Let the investigations conclude before you accuse the Jawan!
Two years ago,a boy(teen) was shot dead after he entered into the compound of an army officer after being chased by cops for Drag Racing in Bangalore!
There are fences that are erected to stop such intrusions but they don't obey the freaking rules!If the boy had not entered the restricted zone in the first place,such an incident would not have happened!

That is true. We will be shouting the other way when we hear a security breach where someone entered the restricted area and throws a bomb. Any unauthorized person in a restricted area is a threat. I however hope that proper protocol be followed before the use of deadly force. If not, the guilty should be punished.

Unlike maybe the experience in other countries, where their military could be located in barren land, India does have units located in orchards and tall trees.

I don't know but I have seen many defence areas institutions like estates, buildings, ordinance factories etc by civilian security guards. But as I said if it was a barrack than its impossible to have civilian guards there but if its residential area than could be.

These days when cross border terrorism is common place, one cannot take a chance.

One could recall where the terrorists struck at a scientific conference because they could move around at will.

And these terrorists are no spring chicken either. To imagine that they could strike in a highly secure area as the Pakistan GHQ, which as per the media is highly secure. Or what happened at the Pakistan Naval Base in Karachi! To imagine that the Indian Parliament could be attacked! It is foolish to let down one's guard.

Today, no one is safe.

Not even the nuclear establishments!

Notwithstanding, a very unfortunate incident!

This is true i have seen HUGE snakes inside the base they just roam free no one kills them lol.

The President's residence in Secunderabad had snakes.

You take them on and you will find there are these chaps around who will say creulty to animals!

To imagine that the Danish Govt has banned slaughter of animal by the halal or kosher way because I believe it is cruelty to animals.

There are too many of these Pollyannas around, who have no regards for law or for people and instead are worried only about animals.

I say one must coexist but not make a song and a dance.

where I grown up there was a large defence estate with high security because its was OFB factory and a nearby small army barrack. as usual lots of trees like coconut, mango etc and many of the local guys usually stole those fruits from there. It was like an adventure for them but never heard something near to this. Guys used to retreat when guards watched them followed by lots of slang . they even complained to the parents. nothing else.
