Now you are ridiculing your army , how the hell did PA even cross the border if there was so much surveillance from the most advanced UAV's ? Even if you know where your enemy is , doesn't translate that you can kill/neutralize him too  What sort of absurd logic are you coming with now ? :P

Israelis provided that during course of the war and came as a real benefit in the conflict. Even you guys have Made in Pakistan drones how come US did Osama Like incident and went back and Pakistani army didn't get even a trace of it.

But as for 2011, you guys could not repeat anything like Kargil, we already have advanced Spy-satellite Risat-2 in space, plus a all-weather Srinagar connected by 4 lanes North-South expressway, plus a rail line under construction. And keep happy with your four peaks and claims of winning the war.

. .
The peaks we took from the indians allow our arty observers to put down very accurate fire to close down the main highway linking J&K to india.

.
Funny how people here celebrate the failure of a brilliant tactical plan without a follow up strategic plan!! Funny how inspite of having all the advantages on their side, the 'brilliant tactical plan' still failed and yet those stupid planners are celebrated as heroes while the politicians (who actually ended up saving Pakistan) are blamed as traitors!!

Really funny, no?

Funny how IA was caught off guard !
Funny how brigade sized troops were engaged by a thousand NLI soldiers !
Funny how those brigade sized troops were supported by air assets and yet suffered more losses !
Funny how Indians celebrate Vijay Diwas for the same peaks that PA occupies even today !

Really funny , ai'nt it ?

Correction : You Didn't Captured those peaks by confronting us ! but those were Abandoned Peaks which were Captured By Pakistan Violating Line of Control

yes it allows that capability, PA however was unable to capitalize on it. Question stands, did you ever bother to question Arty's competency?

It is nowhere near to your fake defence day on 6th Sep since last 46 years.

not exactly off guard, there was a mutual agreement in place that allowed both armies to climb down from freezing heights in winters, just for the sake of soldiers.
The agreement PA generals blatantly violated.
but why should we expect PA generals to care for the lives of regular soldiers, ehh?

Dont blame your PM. Actually it was he who really saved Pakistan from the mess your 'brilliant planners' put Pakistan into. You wouldnt have been able to hold those grounds for a longer time. You pretty much know THAT.

Nawaz Sharif was removed from power by Musharaf because Mushy saw him as an incompetent leader particularly after the Kargil episode. We were winning and told to retreat and go home. If Nawaz truly saved us, why was he swiftly booted out of the country?

and you pin the early detection to our competency or PA's incompetency??

Plan failed because of early detection, we had minimal casualties, while inflicting heavy casualties and captured territory. :coffee:

For India it was a diplomatic victory only, other wise on the ground it was a huge embarrassment.

So somehow OBL was involved in Kargil war ? :azn: Indians are usually very happy to go off topic and derail the threads ... I have seen several go down the gutter ...

Keep underestimating us ... Like you have always done ... We dont mind it in the slightest  When the times comes , you will see what we can do or what we cant ... Dont you think China can provide real time intelligence to Pakistan even ? Or the arrogance didn't allow this thought to cross your mind ? :azn: ... Sure we are very happy with those peaks which can cut the road link and create a logistical nightmare for stranded soldiers at Siachin and elsewhere :P

There is very detailed debunking of the importance of the peaks that Pakistan still maintains under its control. The peak which has a direct line of sight of NH1 is well within LoC on the Pak side and is flanked by two other peaks connected by a ridge. Those two peaks are on the Indian side of the LoC and are under IA control. It is quite clear that any signs of trouble mongering by Pak army would be effectively dealt with. And thats why IA didnt think it was important to 'recapture' those peaks.
Ones in the know would know the reality of the situation on the ground there, no?

.
The peaks are in a very strategic part of the LOC they allow a panoramic view to the observation posts. We could literally destroy any traffic on that road. :)

Drones/UAV don't come with the Tag ,"Active only against Indian, inactive against others"

literally , not practically  it is 2011

We have already pinned the blame officially on our intelligence agencies for their mistakes.
But you didn't answer my question, do you attribute the early detection to our competency or PA's incompetency?

Source about you winning. Those reports from international independent media about IA recapturing the peaks were lies?
If Mush saw Nawaz as incompetent, what about punishing the really incompetent "leaders" who devised the Kargil plan and failed to take into account India's response- both militarily and diplomatically, let alone a thorough follow through of the plan.?

Stop fooling yourself.

Ouch. That must be really frustrating!!
