A Pakistani soldier, who crossed over to this side of the Line of Control (LoC) in Poonch sector, was apprehended by Army troops in Kerni area this morning.

Identified as Arif Ali, 19, son of Bashir Ahmed of Qwetta, the jawan has been posted in Charli Company of 22 Frontier Force of the Pakistani Army. He was posted at Pakistani post Saifullah-2 across the LoC, sources said.
A Defence Ministry spokesman confirmed apprehension of the Pakistani jawan,
saying that the details were awaited.

Sources, however, said that the jawan was unarmed and in civil dress at the time of his apprehension around 6 am today. He was found in possession of a civilian Identity card along with Rs 13,300 in Pakistan currency, besides two SIM cards issued by U Phone and Zong Company – the two cellular operators having network in Pakistan, and a leave certificate issued by Frontier Force

The Indian MOD is still waiting on details while the internet Hindus have already concluded on the incident.
