The question will an IITian have greater probability of finding opportunities success in India or USA?

Of course, one thing is sure an Indian after being successive in USA and coming to India will certainly contribute to India more than he could have had he stayed in India.

The good analogy is like the Father of Chinese missile program who was graduate from MIT, the one who is credited for the Silk worm cruise missiles. Had he stayed in China could he have achieved this?

The question is will he come back to India? If not for the progress of the nation atleast to pay back the 1.5 lakh per year that the Govt subsidized him for his study in IIT.

Wishing to come back and actually coming back is 2 different things and most of the people who returns have American citizenship as an insurance policy to go back to if things don't work out in India.

Anyways India is built by the people who graduated from the so called B , C grade colleges that the elite colleges make fun of. When the graduates from elite colleges like IIT, IIM migrate to foreign countries, B & C graders build bridges, run factories , manufacture missiles etc and contribute directly to the progress for the Indian nation but in the news its always IIM, IIT blah blah...Who cares?

Why Indians unnecessarily getting proud of Indian American achievements in first place? those people getting citizenship and happily living at US. IMO they are not at all Indians.

Indians who living in India are real architect of our nation those Indian american are not equal to our railway coolie because that fellow paying tax from their hard earned money and sharing our national sorrows and happiness. Don't say Indians American are investing in India , they need money so they are investing ,if no benefits simply invest into other country its purely business nothing to do with nationality.

I would like to differentiate b/n US/UK NRIs and Gulf/Singapore/ NRIs...the latter work very hard in that countries and religiously send back money to their families back home. For states like Kerala its a vital source of income.

Dude in Gulf, Indians share rooms/ apartments and even live in labour camps and cut back on many luxuries freely available in Gulf so that majority of their salary can be sent back to their family members in India, assuming that atleast 3 people are dependent on one worker that a lot of people who are not in BPL just bcs of the remittance. I am in no way going to call them disloyal to India.

Yes, I as a Malayalee is very critical of this remittance culture as its unsustainable, but what to do? We have way too much qualified people and way too less job opportunities.

So while Indians and Korean immigrants are majority professionals sponsored by US corporations, 80% of Chinese are family sponsored immigrants who then move to Chinatown and open Chinese restaurants or some other sweatshop businesses. Almost all of Vietnamese immigrants are family sponsored.

As you can see, the quality of Asian immigrants are not equal. The whole claims of Chinese scientists and engineers flooding the US is a BS false claim.

My experience back in college was that Chinese students were usually "farmer-looking" people who were in no way equal to Indian students in academic performance. Indians on the other hand were super-impressive and super-professional.

I very clearly remember the 2nd largest profession of Chinese-Americans was researchers.

It was the new york times immigrants and job explorer.
