I live near Kalaikunda AF base [15 kms] and i have to admit a lot of weird sounding planes are flying.
F16 sounds much better than any Migs i guess? kinda soft roaring sound

there are other weird things too I'll say tht in another thread .

By hard tim i mean indian-best pilots are perfectly comparable to USAF.
infact our pilots clock around 200-250 hours.
Want some neutral info on how IAf pilots is by a US exchange pilot? There is a comment on youtube by him.

There is no doubt USAF can crush any force in world conventionally.i'm not saying hard time in that context.

Let me make this topic intresting...

The DACT training was handy for the US to get funding for F22. But F15 was flying 4 v 12 and no BVR... Now we know that PAF has some intresting future... There you have AMRAAM C5 and SD10... Pretty much every plane will get it (J10, JF17 and J10). There is no chance that IAF will outnumber PAF in BVR planes when an airwar will start... My question is... Will MKI and OVT add any advantage when fighting against block52/J10/JF17? Do remind that the attacker (IAF) will need to escort and CAP... PAF will only get up and shoot turkeys...

Webby was talking about continuing discussions on Indian exercises I proposed a new thread. But now you want to discuss about PAF and IAF. I would avoid such discussions because it leads to hurting sentiment both Indians and Pakistanis are very patriotic.

BTW PAF does not have those Planes and systems yet plus you already presume IAF cannot outnumber PAF in BVR. Lets not discuss about future but present. Do you know IAF planes are upgraded or being upgraded for BVR even the Mig 21's bis which took part in cope India exercise in 04.

I would prefer avoiding any PAF and IAF discussions.

Singapore’s F-16s Meet India’s MiGs for Joint Exercise

About 150 members of the Singapore Air Force have brought six F-16 fighters to India’s Air Force Station Kalaikunda for the third in the SINDEX series of joint exercises between the countries’ air forces.

The Nov. 8-23 exercises will be “extremely beneficial towards enhancing mutual cooperation between India and Singapore and for the two air forces to learn from each other’s operational philosophy and tactics,” the Indian Defence Ministry said in a Nov. 8 statement.

The Kalaikunda base was upgraded last year for international air exercises in which Singapore fielded its F-16s.

“The joint exercises will help the Indian side understand more about the combat-worthiness of the F-16s, which is also is flown by the Pakistani Air Force,” an Indian Air Force official said.

Its use by rival Pakistan isn’t the only reason India wants to learn more about the fighter. The F-16 is also under consideration for India’s Medium-Range Multi-Role Aircraft, for which the Air Force is shopping on the international market. India will buy 126 planes under the multibillion-dollar deal.
A Defence Ministry official here said the Indian Air Force will take part in SINDEX with unspecified numbers of MiG 21 bis and MiG 27 aircraft and an unspecified number of personnel.

The two countries in October 2003 signed a defense cooperation agreement under which their militaries would conduct joint air, land and naval exercises in India and Singapore. The agreement also calls for joint cooperation in defense production between state-owned Indian defense firms and Indian ordnance factories and Singapore defense firms.

Neither has IAF top tech fighters. With the oldest version Mig29, oldest version harrier, old Mig21, Old Mig23/27 and hell they just retired for the X'th times the old Mig25...

Those few Bisons with BVR are not a real threat... Even when PAF attacks India. Those few MKI's are the only intresting adversaries... So quit making India look like superduper airforce. It is not. Just like India is not able to produce decent fighterjets. Marut was external engineer. Gnat was external product. Mig and Suckhoi are just assembled just like Jaguar and we know how that goes. Even IAF did not accept Jaguars build by Hal... LCA is outsourced to Russia (engine), Israel (radar) and lots of others... At the moment you get heat then you tend to end the topic or close the direction. But is normal to tell that IAF beated USAF... You guys are laughable.

Sure. That is all you can produce adter reading BRF and AFM. Laughable indeed. When someone gets your pants down you just move away from the subject. I have seen this more then once. No wonder decent posters are banned from Indian infected forums.
