Indian aggression on LOC: Pakistan Army Soldier Martyred

RAWALPINDI: Indian soldiers Sunday violating Line of Control (LoC) in Bagh sector attacked a Pakistan check post injuring two troops, ISPR said in a statement, Geo News reported.

According to details, Indian army crossed over the LoC and attacked a Pakistani check post Swan Patra in Haji Pir Sector injuring two soldiers. Pakistani soldiers posted on the border post retaliated and beaten back the aggressors, leaving their weapons behind.

SLAMABAD: Indian troops violated the Line of Control (LoC) and crossed over into the Hajipir area inside Pakistani territory early on Sunday, according to a statement issued by Pakistan’s Inter Services Public Relations (ISPR).



The Indian troops entered Pakistani territory near Hajipir area and attacked a security checkpost, said the ISPR adding that, retaliatory action by Pakistani forces resulted in the Indian forces to flee back, while leaving their weapons behind.



Two Pakistani army personnel were injured in the incident.



According to sources, Pakistan has demanded a flag meeting with India immediately and has strongly condemned the incident.

Indian troops have conducted a raid on a Pakistani military post in Kashmir, killing one soldier and injuring another, Pakistan's military says.

It said Indian forces had crossed the Line of Control between the two countries into the Hajipir sector of Pakistani-administered Kashmir.

The attack was repelled but troops from both sides were still exchanging fire in the area, a military statement said.

There was no immediate comment from Indian authorities.

Kashmir is claimed by both India and Pakistan, and has been a flashpoint between the two countries for more than 60 years.

Pakistan's military said Indian troops had "physically raided a checkpost named Sawan Patra".

"Pakistan Army troops effectively responded to the attack successfully," it said in a statement.

"One Pakistani soldier embraced martyrdom while another was critically injured."

The statement said Indian troops had left behind weapons as they retreated.

There has been a ceasefire in Kashmir since late 2003.

India suspended a peace process with Pakistan following attacks by Pakistan-based militants in Mumbai in 2008. Negotiations resumed in February last year.
