This is the right thinking. This is in line with defensive offense strategy which Doval sir had advocated in his famous speech at Shastra university on the topic of countering the terrorism. Just defending is not a right strategy because it gives your enemy freedom to have a peace or war at their own choice. If fight is taken to enemy soil, they will feel the heat of defending themselves which will limit their options of waging the war through other means.
