With The Recent Reviseded growth forcast of 9.7% for the Indian Economy in 2010-2011 the indians will add $126 billion to its GDP by March 2012.

This will Give the Indians a GDP of $1.3 trillion+

All the indications are that the Indian GDP is set to grow at near double digit growth over the Next 5 years. Infact many believe it will ovetake China as the fastetst growing GDP in the next few years.

In 3 Years time the Indian GDP will be in excess of $1.8 trillion
By growing at around 10% per annum India will be adding a staggering $180 billion a year to its GDP.

THIS IS INCOMPARISON to Pakistans entire GDP at $170 billion and growing at a useful but modest 4.0% ..

If the trajectory continues as is predicted and the WOT bogs Pakistan down for another 5 years India could grow to be NOT 8-1 IN SIZE OF gdp but more like 12-1 or 15-1 by 2020.

The net effect or the repurcussions of VERY LARGE widening GDP gap in South Asia will ALTER the Balance of power substantially.

So Often when the Indians Look to sign a major deal be it Nuclear energy or UN security seats or MMRCA the GOP use altering the balance power as their argument as to why it must not happen.

The single biggest reason for ALTERING BALANCE OF [POWER) is GDP relative strength.

USA is the single biggest power on earth for one reason alone ITS $14 TRILLON GDP.

China is scaring the **** out of the WEST why $5 trillion gdp

GDP are much scarier than any nuke warhead or F16/52 or SU30MKI

Its the real muscle of a nation

The subject is a massive issue because Pakistan has sworn never to allow Indian Hegomany or dominance in South Asia.

They have challenged toe toe in military terms or Nukes.

But the Indians are beginning to get to POWERFUL via their industrial might.

Are they becoming hegmonius without having to use military power. ????

India needs to invest in nuclear and renewable energy for it's growing energy needs of the future, once solar energy becomes cheaper it can help both rural and urban population to harness unlimited clean energy.

At end of every war which you win or lose you have to feed you people, you have improve their life, you have to provide them education and proper health facility. All them is possible with good economy not with how many weapons you have.

most of the investment in defense is dead .. like you buy new fighter jet in 100 million $$ , after 20 years you will throw it in junk , no value addition for people.

And more bigger GDP of country more loan and support it can provide to other countries. Like china is expanding its wings in south american countries by giving loans and support for infrastructure.

Even India started doing same on smaller scale. To sustain in war you in need powerful GDP. In India most of people talk about industrial growth. They are more concerned about how fast government is setting up SEZ and other industrial plats in their region then how much we are spending behind our military or what type of weapons we have. We talk much less about our neighbors (only on net people like spend time in verbal debate) but we talk more about market and industrial growth.

Its a not a reply to Omar1984. But

A WAKE UP CALL

To Where the repective nations of South Asia are heading.

To my astonishment Pakistan & Bangldesh have similar size forex reserves.

Around $11 billion each.

India is a staggering $285 billion. 5th largest in the world.
(that is serious cash)

Pretty much all I have seen you talk about on this forum is how India is so good and will keep getting much better than Pakistan. That's like the only thing you've ever discussed. Yes, we get the point that Indian GDP is high compared to us (not that different in terms of per capita) and it's growing. You seem to have some sort of an obsession when it comes to these things.

Barack Obama visted Asia strongest future industrial powers. Nations with whom USA can trade.

These are included India Taiwan Malaysia Indoneasia S Korea & Japan.

ENUF SAID i think

SMC i enjoy economics its a good subject.

Better than JF17 V SU30MKI threads i think

Well you seem to be comparing apples to oranges. Similar comparisons could be made about US and Canada. If we're to believe you, US is so much better than Canada. Yet we all know different. India is a much bigger country, all right.
