First let India win the QF. Since you all are bringing up previous WC matches allow me to do the same. In 2011 SA won all its league matches and lost in QF.

India because of its position as no1 in group B would play no4 of group A which would be most probably Bangladesh, with slight chances for England (fact that Bangladesh's match with Aus was was washed out haelped them in points table)

South Africa would be playing Sri-Lanka

Australia would be playing West Indies or Ireland whichever ends at no3

Newzealand would be playing Pakistan or Ireland or West Indies whichever ends at no 4.


In Semi final.

India would be playing against Australia

and New zealand would be playing against South Africa.

Final is open.



In this WC pools composition has been fixed in such a manner that at least one of the host and in ideal situation both hosts would reach Final.

Why do you want India to play Australia? India will get a drubbing versus the kangaroos.

South Africa against WI had 100 runs in 23.3 over and they scored 408. This is the strategy to win games in this WC and not get all out on 150.......

SA was not chasing a target of 102. They were setting a target in a pressure cooker match where they HAD to win with a good margin. Plus WI had struck early and SA needed to preserve wickets.
