first world cup of india.. and after that its tour of WI...

India was no underdog in 1983. You forget Sunil Gavaskar was the baap of Sachin those days. India not only had defeated WI in the league stage but also routed WI in WI in a tour prior to 83 WC.

My aim is not to ridicule UAE. But by over-estimating UAE India runs the risk of losing sight of the real goal. India cannot afford to get distracted by UAE. They need to plan for the top teams of the other table. In this match it looks like India will bat for maximum 15 overs.

Other than WI other teams facing India are minnows. It is in the QF stage that India's real caliber will be tested.

Yes, but waiting for the next cracker wala Ad to appear!!

I want to know what mauka mauka ad they do if India has to face NZ or Australia in knock out stage. Tim Southee and Boult are unplayable and the pesky australians have mitchel starc.

Finally, UAE eased out of their misery at 102.

Wanna bet in how many overs would India reach target of 103.

Prior to that world cup India only one single world cup match ..

Dude,India is playing Australia in Semi Final. Though India may chose to play against Newzealand or South Africa if it willingly throws away one of its match by a very big margin.

And what is your point?

India will win this match even if they send in an U-16 team. Beating UAE is no feat. But lost in celebrations after defeating UAE India risks losing focus on QF. Southee, Boult, Starc are bowling like Gods and other than Kohli India does not have a champion batsman. Dhawan is a lottery who may or may not fire, Raina is good for slog overs. Rest are just for show especially rohit sharma.

Never mind that. When India faces a tough opponent in QF you will understand the point.

First let India win the QF. Since you all are bringing up previous WC matches allow me to do the same. In 2011 SA won all its league matches and lost in QF.

India wanted to bat first in this match because next match is here on same ground against WI. They wanted to practice on bouncy Perth wicket by playing full 50 overs. And don't tell me that WI is a minnow.

India must win all the matches with big margin. The form should be continued, a champion team should not afraid of its opponents and look for escape routes !

India's Batting is good so far, spinners are doing well, Pacers needs to improve in the depth overs, fielding is good !

India will face 4 th team from pool B, it will not be australia or newzealand for sure !

India will face bd,srilanka or england, I think India will overcome these countries !

Current WI team IS a minnow. This is not their full strength team.

Wait till the knock out games start. Lets see India's potential then.

On a positive note, Rohit Sharma managed to score 4 runs.
