India v/s China: We’ve got Facebook! What’ve you got?

What does that mean?

We don't treat minority citizens with less rights or think lesser of them. We don't have similar shia vs sunnis fights, we don't have citizens not allowed to vote certain offices in- if they belong to certain religions etc. We don't demand that our citizens follow a religious text on schools or have our constitution solely follow one religion. do you want me to go on and keep enlightening you about the These Great United States? We treat everyone as the same in the eyes of the law. We don't laws on the books to discriminate one citizen vs another

On the contrary, here in Canada, they refer to USA as a melting pot. In Canada, we are considered immigrants. In USA, people are just considered American after citizenship. Nothing more, nothing less.

Lol.

Even after citizenship, immigrants are still considered immigrants.

Americans will never ask a immigrant if he is American.
They will either ask him where he is from, or what (nationality) is he.

If a immigrant bluntly replies with "America", or "American", they will scoff & look away.

There you go. Some food for thought.

Of course an immigrant doesn't magically become white, and purely American after citizenship. But to a large extent, they are considered American.

I don't know if you think you are looking smart by making those absurd claims. So far you shown to have ill informed views. I live here I know...

Really?
Can you name a Muslim Republican or Democrat?

The United States Const. is based on Christian values. "In God we trust", and many more references to God in the U.S Constitution.

I have been in America, I know.
Hiding truth can only soothe your mind for short-term, okay?

Do you think every American knows automatically whether the person in front of them is a U.S national? Nope.

Whether you are citizen or not, Americans will still consider you immigrant.

Democrat Keith Ellison is a Muslim congressmen in the US congress. Our president although not Muslim has " Hussein" as his middle name. There are several local and state Muslim politicans in the US. Our constitution does not bar anyone of said religion to not participate or run in elections if they qualify like everyone else needs to. Thank you for your tourist visa visit

The argument was whether:

1. JayAtl can call himself American- yes he can, no law says no to that

2. Minorities have the samr rights- I pointed out an Indian governor, and he did a Muslim congressman

Please stop talking about us from your lands because you had a fly by visit on a tourist visa. We are a land of immigrants. Learn some basic background on nations before making absurd claims.

First you say you don't pay much attention to India,in my stay here I have seen more Chinese open India related thread, specially
ChinaToday.
Talk about obsession.

.
There is enough China vs India threads. Why is there such a need for all these comparison? Even if its not China vs India, a lot of trolls turn the thread into China vs India. Its time to 1) Stop open up such threads. 2) Stop turning every thread into China vs India discussion. Discuss the topic of the thread instead.

i would say for Chating with strangers nothing comes close to :pdf:........

BTW Chinese QQ is also not bad may not be as good as Facebook but still a very nice software i would say.....:)

The US spies on people through facebook, google and other websites, collecting and filtering massive amounts of personal data. Now they are crying because they can't spy on China.

You could of course build your own homegrown facebook, encrypt all the data during transport with https, offer citizens some tax-discounts for registring their passwords and/or 'chinabook' data with the government, and go on your merry way :)

But what a facebook offers, together with a fairly free but also restricted in some ways media industry (as China already has), is this; crowd-sourced government.

Whereby the people, especially those pesky adventerous and often annoying young people ( ;) ), set up internet campaigns, that then form if all goes well a todo list for politicians. Thus enabling not only real democracy, but valid national pride as well.

It could be communism 3.0, I tell you ;)
