This problem of modernizing the army's artillery was found long back hence the Army allotted its major share of defense budget in floating the tender for the trials.

I have found two major flaws in indian artillery section
1)total 410 swedish bofores out of ehich nearly 100 are not in working condition
2) 500 M-46 mostly out dated 120 mm piece not any longer suitable for any future conflict with pakistan and china
