What's new

India To Supply Iran with 150,000 Tons of Standard Rail Tracks for 15,000 km Rail Line worth $233mn

blaming one's actions to justify another's worse action. good for you!
and meanwhile, just a few days ago:
واردات بی رویه کمر فولاد را خم کرد
you must ask it from the guy who was responsible for these sanction that made Iran use such barter system.

and now if we like to talk about bending the back of industry well its more than 3 decade that our textile industry
back is broken because of importing one special sort of cloth and now what is fun about it , well nobody is taking
about it.
By the way you knew what is the problem with Steel industry ? we have the capacity to produce steel but they have
limited capacity to produce end product so we produce a lot of steel and Iron but if the industry have problem with import
then they must produce the end product not the raw steel or sponge Iron . they better increase their capacity to produce start produce rails and special steel alloy that industry need not making steel factories that we already produce more
than what we need.

This deal will happen you do know we havrbto pay you somehow
if the nuclear deal is done which is very probable based on latest updates, Iran will ask the CASH.. this is what officials announced many times... Iranian government already made up their plans for post-sanctions... The plan is to cash out most of the money in form of Euros and Dollars... Invest a big part of it into local industries..The first thing that will be invested in, will be the Science and tech sector R&D budget both civil and military as this is something came as a priority in 6th national strategic plan, entered execution a month ago.. another part will be spent in finishing some unfinished infra... another part will go as reserves for bad days and controlling the value of IRR... The current amount exceeds $150 billions and another $60-80 billion will be added as soon as Iran start its oil exports back the way it was. There are also a list of multi-national companies ready to step in with tens of billions of dollars of investment each year.... If sanctions lifted and these plan come to action, Iranian economy will witness a serious jump in GDP growth for many years.

so, in my opinion, all these news are superficial and are not going to be materialized... not with Russia and not with India...

It is good that Iran and India have very good ties. But to be honest I prefer Iranian companies rather than any foreign country companies. Our new government (Rouhani) do not care much about Iranian companies. I don't hate Rouhani government but I think previous government was better in this matter. Anyway long live Iran India relationship... :yahoo:
Iran needs 3mil tonnes of rails. India is going to export 150000 tons. Your industry is not losing much
Setting up new steel plants to deliver to such demand is probably impossible for Iranian companies. It is a fast injection of imports necessary for infrastructure development.

And this is most likely not a rip off. Instead of letting the dollars rot in a bank for par zero interest. The money will now be in Iran whose growth rate(Iran's economy can only grow from now) brings more value. Only that the money is in the form of rails.

That's true. India has much liability to pay Iran due to sanctions and one way to pay them off is do some bussines in Iran.

This project is probably not simple barter alone. In the past, India has paid Iran in foodgrains, medicines etc. (Indian medicines were cheaper than any that Iran could have obtained, with or without sanctions.)

But in this project, India probably has a stake, not just as a supplier. For the same reason that India has a stake in Chabahar port. It would give India a very short access to Russia and central Asian states, and make Iran an important conduit for our trade with that part of the world. Rail connectivity across the length of Iran is very important for India, to transport freight. (It is much cheaper than road transport.)

Not to mention, Iran itself will reap huge dividends, both due to connectivity, and the tariffs countries like India will pay. Presently India's trade route with CAS region is very circuitous.

I hope Iran India relationship, trades increase as much as possible..... :enjoy:
I believe India is one of the greatest and the most decent countries in the world. Also one of the most beautiful countries [India is a piece of paradise].
You fought for your independence against British empire.
I love your country and your great history.

Unfortunately today many people try to black-face your country due to your tensions with Pakistan, while you are very great country and people...
