I must add two things here :

1.Call it propaganda or rhetoric but the entire set of south Asian countries countries keep talking of Indian Hegemony although INDIAN soldiers have never set foot across its borders except '71 while China keeps on bullying its entire set of neighbors either covertly or overtly. ( either blocking loans from ADB or World Bank or by direct threatening with military confrontation). Its damaging of undersea optic cables in South China Sea or military posture vis-a-vis Japan. Now who is being hegemonic here ?

Don’t flattered yourself, If Pakistan, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh held low opinion on India mean you guys are not lovely Angels period…forgot to mention that how India had bullied the small poor Nepal now they have China card on hand, they can tilt toward China any time.

2. China has running border disputes with all its countries. No body wants to be their friends. China has always tried to push its neighbors into a corner whenever chance came by. Be it with vietnam when USSr withdrew or with phillipines when US withdrew.
I think they should get a treatment of their own medicine.

When China was weak, others pushed China and cut Chinese territories, we lost outer Mongolia, outer Manchuria …and part of territory in Tibet…Japan even tried to annexe Taiwan...all because at that time we didn’t have notion to define clearly the boundary…Chinese people are awakening, we will push rather been pushed…we won’t make exception to India neither…soon or later there will be score to sittle.

Sure no one wants to be China’s friends but they like Chinese money $$$...? We have trade will all these so call Chinese haters countries that include Vietnam and India.

Agree, if you Indians want to sell Brahmos to Vietnam..then just do it..U.S sold things 10 times than this Brahmos to Japan and Korea, we don't even care. if you think that gonna provok China, we do have eventually option to sell DF-21D to take care your Indian CBG a...or incorporate this guidance technology into Pakistan missle and provide satellite mid-course guidance to deal with Indian navy...sure we evil chinese has plentiy of options to satisfy Indian challenge.

So the question is how can the launch vehicle get close enough to the AC fleet?
The second question is how would the indians provide mid-term guidiance? by sending a helicopter?

Having handful of Brahmos batteries will ensure that Chinese Ships stay away 300 km from Vietnam .
Vietnam needs AEWCS , Su30mk2(i)+Growler/F35 to defend its airspace and sea waters .
PAKFA can be used to attack tactical targets .
Only headache for Vietnam is missiles . It cannot spend on a good AMD but it should have accurate IRBMs so that Chinese feel equally threatened .

Most of us have a tendency to count our chickens before they hatch... We should do every thing to ensure that we are progressive... most of the comments shows that the move is to counter China... However, I want to focus on the other side, profit... India is in process of making a major sales in international defense market and we should focus on that... lets get this deal inked... countering China should be a hidden motive only...
