I must add two things here :

1. Call it propaganda or rhetoric but the entire set of south Asian countries countries keep talking of Indian Hegemony although INDIAN soldiers have never set foot across its borders except '71 while China keeps on bullying its entire set of neighbors either covertly or overtly. ( either blocking loans from ADB or World Bank or by direct threatening with military confrontation). Its damaging of undersea optic cables in South China Sea or military posture vis-a-vis Japan. Now who is being hegemonic here ?

2. China has running border disputes with all its countries. No body wants to be their friends. China has always tried to push its neighbors into a corner whenever chance came by. Be it with vietnam when USSr withdrew or with phillipines when US withdrew.
I think they should get a treatment of their own medicine.

Except India and Bhutan they don't have any other border disputes

Also , India has had a badly executed policy in the neighborhood particularly in case of Sri Lanka, Nepal.

China too had problems, but they"ve solved most of them.

Their border hasn't been demarcated any where. They can always come up with obscure historical facts to claim ownership as is the case with South China sea.

With Nepal, its recent phenomenon. The current government and the previous ones did not foresee the rise of Maoists and it was a costly blunder. Rest assured, the correction is being done and the first sign is the election of Bhattarai as PM . Prachanda is being sidelined. So, in future in Nepal the worst we will have will be a neutral Government not an anti_india one like Prachanda.
Regarding Sri-lanka- You need to study the Sri-lankan attitude towards India from the beginning.

Its not the correct interpretation..They got access to every thing in India. Plus the King had very good relations with us.
Only Indian fault was to let Prachnda rise to the point he rose..We should not have let that happen. Anyway that is being corrected now..

paranoid??? They were continuously Anti India, in 1965 war and 1971 war they helped pakistan. Indian PM categorically asked them to keep themself out of mess. Pakistani warship were refueling at Lankan docks. Lanka was aggressive towards India.

Till 1971 India was neutral towards Lanka, But after 1971, Indira though to treat them with their own medicines and did something which haunt them for next 30 years...
