I think the figure of average growth at about 4 to 5% till 2060 could well be with a tolerance of +/- 3%. So the average growth figures will swing by 2700% against current actual GDP. It could work either way and the swing does not take into consideration inflation. So changes in per ca-pita by 2060 is anybody's guess. Your guess is as good as mine.

8% a year this decade for China is achievable.

The US is also likely to grow no quicker than 2% a year, so with the continued appreciation of the Chinese currency it is possible by 2020.

6% extra GDP growth + 3% currency appreciation is 9% a year. 9% a year over 8 years is 100% increase, so the 50% size of the Chinese economy now becomes as large as the US by 2020.
