India to buy NASAMS-2 missiles from USA

I admire all his posts except where he shows disrespect to Veterans from Pak Forces by not using their proper rank and when he does not penalize Pakistani flag displayers when they get carried away with PDF ranks e.g General, Captain etc.(they start fantasizing that their PDF ranks are equal to or superior than the real life ranks) and distort the names of the veterans.

otherwise he is one of the best here (knowledge-wise and blunt to the point)

Some india will become nuclear wasteland if nuke war will going to happen in subcontinent, Both countries completely wipe out in the face of the world @randomradio
No land will be nuclear wasteland. USA has tested about 500 bombs in atmosphere and we don't see any nuclear wasteland in USA. The nukes are over-exaggerated. If nukes could destroy everything and only thing one ad to do was to press buttons to launch missiles and the enemy lays waste, why do people have tanks, AFV, planes etc?

The reality is that nukes are big bombs but not big enough to cause great damage. It is useful mainly to disrupt economy, not to wipe out everything

I want to smoke that stuff you have.

NASAMS are more focused towards aircraft. Id love to see them work against a volley of some 30 warheads where only 2 are enough to do the damage.

Keep buying, still will have irradiated and roasted Indian flesh when all is done.

Radiation @Vijyes Yechury ;):enjoy:

What wrong about @Oscar post he is right NASSAM is basically anti aircraft missile system @ramu o_O

You want to smoke salmon?
Since I clearly am not having the fermented poop that lines the many streets of human India

Radiation is overhyped. Nuclear explosions don't last more than 5 seconds. How can there be too much radiation by such a short burst? Reactor waste has large radioactivity because there is continual reaction for months
do research before you post on radiation, if radiation threat is not true than what is this @Vijyes Yechury

go research on the subject then come here to post @Vijyes Yechury :p:;):p:enjoy:

We buy them because it increases saturation cost of each target thus stretching pak budget and necessity to maintain more and more warheads with its dodgy economy. Also eliminates rogue factor.

NASAMS is meant for CMD, terrorism etc. It cannot stop ballistic missiles, but then it's a necessary part of the nuclear shield. So yes, it makes it harder for CMs to penetrate defences.

Interesting take. Roasted flesh you desire, that's what you will achieve.
The way I see it, this system is also mobile, giving a much wider cover and is more tactile that the Akash and Spyder to aid in other areas especially against as you said "aircrafts" specifically to protect a column. It also opens up the prospects of a Humvee mounted 64F1 version, which opens the doors for homegrown Vshorad systems for India which are not depended on 6x6 and 8x8 vulnerable command vehicles.

More than the roasting flesh business, this is to add robustness and shed weight of thrust engagement. But that's just me.

The NASAMS 2 lacks fire on the move, the NASAMS 3 is being developed for that.

But what about all the other Indian cities? are they going to be sacrificed?

Ballistic Missile shield is fully operational in Republic of India before 1998. Land based, Sea based and even Air based components makes the Indian Ballistic Missile Shield.

S-400 and NASAMS-2 have different roles.

National Advanced Surface-to-Air Missile System (NASAMS™) is surface to Air Missile system, The system provides the air defender with a tailorable, state-of-the-art defense system that can maximize their ability to quickly identify, engage and destroy current and evolving enemy aircraft, unmanned aerial vehicle or emerging cruise missile threats.

Indian Armed Forces already deployed Akash MKI and Akash MKII and there are reports about Akash MKIII too.
