US is getting isolated (after British snub) and it remains to be seen if it is unilterally going to take military action. Assad has used Chemical weapons against his own countrymen and this should've been a sufficient reason for action, but with economies across the globe in turmoil, don't know if there are any guts left for such a costly action.

My personal opinion though differs I want Assad to crush the FSA like the rats they are but that is another story
