Well Sanskrit for sure did not come from the Ganga - when we know in history it was just thick jungle with banana munching Aboriginals dangling about on trees. Here is my theory. As the invaders pushed into the Ganga swamps they mixed with the local Aboriginals but deep in the forests some groups of Aboriginals survived in their pure form. That is why in India (particularly in Odisha and south) they have jungles full [millions] of pure A grade aboriginals that might add to 100 million of what they call Adivasi or Munda people. The also have over 300 million grade B mixed bunch called Untouchables but that is another story.
