You posted what existed at three points of time 221BC, 1912, 1949 without explaining if a united China with a strong central government always existed in between. :laughcry:

There was only ONE emperor of the empire regardless the power struggle during transitional period. One empire, one son of the heaven concept never changed.

There is only one recognized central government. Rebel or rival political party are not government.

You can't argue against established historical facts, no matter how you fabricate or spin your question. This is not India, we are not your average Indians.
India was also ruled by emperors such as Emperor Ashoka, Akbar, etc. No one say emperor in north is this... and in south was this....

however there were smaller kingdoms existed who were governed by kings and queens such as king of Kalinga, queen of Jhasi. They were never called Emperor of Kalinga and Empress of Jhasi.

No, you lied. What can this forum expect from a pathological liar and a brainless troll?

Qin dynasty 221 BC - 206 BC
18 Kingdoms fall under Qin dynasty
, there was only ONE emperor. It was a period of a power struggle to be successor of the throne..

The successor of Qin dynasty is Han dynasty 206 BC - 220 AD

Han Dynasty

Any university history book will tell you China was unified in 221 BC, even Japan was unified in 660BC. India was formed only in 1947, by gaining independent from the British.

Take your dumb fabrication of history to your Bollywood forum, this is a defense forum with high standard.

Where as For china it is no where written that it was ever united. It is not even united today. Mainland claim taiwan and Taiwan claim mainland as china. qouting for you what is written in the link provided by you for china
For centuries China stood as a leading civilization, outpacing the rest of the world in the arts and sciences, but in the 19th and early 20th centuries, the country was beset by civil unrest, major famines, military defeats, and foreign occupation. After World War II, the communists under MAO Zedong established an autocratic socialist system that, while ensuring China's sovereignty, imposed strict controls over everyday life and cost the lives of tens of millions of people. After 1978, MAO's successor DENG Xiaoping and other leaders focused on market-oriented economic development and by 2000 output had quadrupled. For much of the population, living standards have improved dramatically and the room for personal choice has expanded, yet political controls remain tight. Since the early 1990s, China has increased its global outreach and participation in international organizations.

Maurya empire ended around 185 BC. From 185 BC to 1850, that's 2000 years in total, there was not a single sovereign empire. You cannot have 10 kings and 20 emperors, and called yourself one empire.

Not disputing that Indian subcontinent or South Asia history goes back a long way, but it was never one country. Present day India and its border are created by British.

Yes only one empire existed at any given time. Even in your post you missed the moghul empires. Ever heard about Akbar the Great?
What will you call the empire? Is it not substitute to country?

Mughals were foreign invaders who Islamized most of South Asia (No different from the British) Two, was there a legitimate successor to Mughals when its power weaken? No, it was fragmented. Then British came. The land was lost again. How exactly was there a political continuity or country created by the descendants of Maurya empire? None.

No, If mughals are foriegn invaders, so are the Aryans. You can not compare with mughals and britishers. Mughals were Indian emperors their capital was in India, all the policies were made within the boundaries. Most of the time since 300 BC the capital of India was not changed it remained 'Delhi'.

Where as britishers controlled Indian land from london. Actual decisons were made in Britain. So you can say India lost the status of country for about 120 years. But again 120 years are nothing when compared to thousands of years.

It is spectacle that you have not replied to my post when I stated that China is not unified even in present times!!!

There was no single empire known as India when Mughals ruled South Asia in Delhi. It was just indian subcontinent with a myriad of different kingdoms.
Even if I accept Mughals as Indian empire, there is no political continuity from Muarya empire. Mughals were muslims, completely culture and people to local south Asians.

How could India lost the status of a country to British? For 2000 years, since 185BC, there was not a single country/empire. The present border of India was drew by the British.

"One sovereign empire/one country" is completely different concept from "unified country"
There can only be an unification if there exists two different entities, like East and West Germany. Taiwan is not recognized by UN as a country. And it's size is not even 0.5% of China landmass.
