India successfully test fired Brahmos Missile from Su 30

I would love to see some demonstration of such mono pulse seeker enabled BrahMos destroying a moving target which does not have a scan seeker to do such a job.

Go and fool others with your non technical gibberish papa.

Don't discharge your methane here for nothing.

Oh and a mono pulse seeker can't do the job?
That's some smart assery.

The fact that Brahmos' speed reduces engagement time should automatically make it clear that detection time is not an absolute stringent requirement like in subsonic AShMs.

Static targets...

And a sub launched short ranged ballistic missile..

No thank you.

Pak has 3 Babur variants... and than Raad ALCM Series...

And i can post videos of babur destroying a fukin flag...

Well, Brahmos is a manueverable missile, I don't believe there is any reason to doubt it can't engage moving targets.

That's a Brahmos being launched from a pontoon not a BM.

Ofcourse man...
13+ Subs
8x frigs
8+FACs
14+ MPAs
8X Corvettes
and other platforms.
LOL

But wait ... a fukin russian yakhont operated by the likes of vietnam, india etc will rain fire and destruction in one go coz of the vedic intergallactic mantras sung by indians during launch..

Just can't talk without making religious abuses on others. Typical troll.

Brahmos is an overkill for PAK navy. Our threat perception shifted towards east since a long time. While the western front is nothing but a mediocre threat at least militarily.

According to my information, the bulk of the Indian armed forces continue to be deployed on the Western border, against the same threat that you termed as mediocre.

Maza aa gaya re maza aa gaya. First Nirbhay then this, give few more years we will have enough of CM's in inventory and like we are way ahead on BM front we will get to the same stage with CM's.

Russians are developing their weapon systems with Indian money on Indian platforms.

BrahMos: India’s much hyped nuclear cruise missile is not indigenous but 65% Russian made
New Delhi (Sputnik) — With the successful flight test of world's fastest supersonic cruise missile BrahMos from the Indian Air Force's (IAF) Sukhoi-30MKI frontline fighter aircraft, India has given a major boost to its air attack capabilities. The Indian Ministry of Defense has said that the successful maiden test firing of theBrahMos Air Launched Cruise Missile (ALCM) from a Su-30MKI will significantly bolster the IAF's air combat operations capability from stand-off ranges.

"A BrahMos ALCM weighing 2.5 tons is the heaviest weapon to be deployed on India's Su-30 fighter aircraft, modified by HAL to carry weapons. Brahmos, a world-class weapon with a multi-platform, multi-mission role is now capable of being launched from Land, Sea, and Air, completing the tactical cruise missile triad for India," India's Ministry of Defense said in a statement.

BrahMos is a joint venture between India's Defense Research and Development Organisation (DRDO) and Russia's rocket design bureau NPO Mashinostroyeniya. Indian defense minister Nirmala Sitharaman congratulated DRDO and BrahMos for the outstanding accomplishment.

The IAF has signed a contract for the delivery of air-launched BrahMos cruise missiles from January 2018. So far three Su-30 MKI jets have been modified to accommodate the new cruise missile and in total it will modify at least 50 Su-30MKI aircraft to carry the nuclear-capable cruise missiles. The IAF plans to induct at least 200 BrahMos-compatible fighter jets in the coming years.

India tested the land version of the BrahMos missile in April this year, when it hit a target at a distance of approximately 450 kilometers (280 miles) in the Bay of Bengal. The Indian Navy too is equipping all its ships with the BrahMos missile system. Russia supplies 65% of the BrahMos' components, including its ramjet engine and radar seeker.

Brahmos has the capability to engage moving targets. Stop speaking nonsense as usual.

First of all the link that you have thrown says nothing about the technicality involved of BrahMos being able to destroy a moving target on its own (autonomous)

So this was deceptive from you.

The situation is akin to imagine that I needed a telephone number from you and you tossed a yellow pages on me. This is not the right way to respond, you could have narrowed down the paragraph and copy pasted. But on this there was nothing you could have done, there is nothing.

Issue at hand:

I said, BrahMos can not hit a moving target in its autonomous flight with RF Monopulse seeker. It has (so far) not.

In order for BrahMos to hit a moving target, it has to have an external aid via SatCom or AWACS to guide them to the target.

Here it is:
Alternatively, the BrahMos can be guided to a moving target such as a ship using inputs from Indian military satellites or through a data-link between the missile or friendly warships or maritime reconnaissance aircraft.

Haha. The surface combatants of the Pakistan Navy are neither large nor ocean faring. They are only littoral warships and so they will always be under the cover of the PAF and the coast. It doesn't seem much of threat and in any case, it would be overkill for such a large cruise missile.

The other side will build stuff too.

As far as PAF aircover is concerned, Pakistan airforce could not defend Pakistan naval ship, which were patrolling its territorial waters(12 NMs) from a missile fired from 30 Kms away by a boat. More than that, PAF could not even find the boats which had sunk their ships and end up attacking one its own naval vessels.

This a missile, which will be fired from 400kms away, If its target were Karachi, most likely from within Indian airspace. How will PAF provide aircover against Bhramos ALCM ?

Why is it hard for BrahMos to hit a moving target?

If the BrahMos has a mission to destroy the moving ship at 300 KM away, it will take about 6 minutes to reach it (800m/s), and by that time the target would have moved 5 KM away from it (30 knots per hour). So the BrahMos needs constant location feeding (mid-course data link enabled) of its target which is on the run or moving. And BrahMos is not equipped in its autonomous mode to reach that moving target on its own without any GPS co-ordinate feed through various means.
