india can do all chest thumping and make up more false paper, NO, she did not have "full diplomatic immunity". And crime she committed goes beyond her status.

IF US paid ticket that was to help a poor family who were cheated by indian "diplomat". And also maid is being key witness and victim, her family was in risk in india. Everyone know how india treats lower caste or even people from different religions - with massacre and killing.US did the just and moral thing by rescuing maid family.

Why stop at Rescuing just maids family, there are millions who can be rescued,after all its just and moral thing.will do good for the image of US.

Indian citizen should only follow Indian law, not US law. US law has no jurisdiction in India. However, when an Indian enter the US, they have to follow the US law. Its respectful and right for Indians, including diplomats, to follow the US law once they are in the US. Otherwise, look at what happen to your diplomat.



Once she is acquitted by the US court or serve her terms if she is guilty, she can return home to India.

My post no base on personal opinion but base on US law and US immigration law. My respond to the question not in any way imply US was making a major blunder in conducting foreign affair, or stated India judiciary only apply to the jungle law. My validation with my answer are within the context of US law.
